Miserable? ive killed so many jets that havent even tried to flare, its kinda fun
Yeah, when it comes to those opportunities, it’s fun, because it’s easy, but when, like I said, they get blessed by Gaijin, it’s annoying when a shot that should have insta killed them non-pen’s, it’s not fun
I think that influencing people to play less populated tech trees is a smart idea.
Tho it could’ve been done more explicitly.
I feel bad for the people that buy Type 16 FPS premium just to realize how useless it is with the nerfed ammo lol
Nerfed ammo, did I miss something?
Yeah it’s only 292 pen now for the APFSDS
I dare say that it’s not because Gaijin wants people to play other nations. If this was true, they wouldn’t be reconsidering the nation RP bonus that does exactly that. I don’t really believe the explanation given for this sale, a more direct answer would be appreciated.
And, many other tanks on this BR have the same top ammo
but gaijing put the 2,5 euros packs at the same level as f5c or mig23ml
The way to drive more diversity in especially rank 7 air premiums is to make the rank 7 premiums more equivalent, but the reality is (including when looking at all the review videos, which I’m sure is where a lot of newer players get their information) that the premiums for most nations just aren’t even worth getting on sale. And that’s for 2 reasons, both the plane itself is not great relative to BR or in the meta, and the rest of the more minor trees aren’t worth grinding / are so small you don’t need a premium to grind them.
The ones that are have gone on sale largely fall into that category, whereas the ones that haven’t are the ones that are worth getting. I’d much rather see premiums of the same quality and diversity for UK, Japan, etc etc as US and USSR etc already have
Where do they do that?
Imho, this logic is somewhat flawed. If you want to grind a smaller nation, you are much cheaper and better off, if you don’t buy a premium during sale, but simply get a few key talismans on the way. For many players, the premiums main function is SL income.
I find it quite OK, if all premiums would be average vehicles and not p2w selected power horses. In that sense, premiums that have a regular brother in the tree seem to be a better idea.
I agree with you, I think in an ideal world pack premiums especially would be slightly worse versions of tech tree variants
The challenge is at the moment that between different premiums some are just clearly better and better value than others, yet are often at the same price and so instead of selectively putting the underperforming ones on sale I’d rather gaijin revisit the premium pack vehicles as a whole, especially when it comes to rank 7 air
Well, they will put the others on sale too (f5-C was on sale, as I own it, same for turms), once they are no longer the top sought performers.
That is why I now own a “Des Moines”.
Thank you for taking the time to respond to several of these complaints. I have a question that is probably not in your realm, but if it is not, could you please forward this complaint to someone at Gaijin that can respond to this issue.
Why are XBox players not included in this current Anniversary Sale, and why were they not included in last years Anniversary and Christmas sales? Several XBox players would very much like to know why they are not included. If you say it is Microsoft that will not allow it, has anyone from Gaijin reached out to see how this can be rectified? Some insight from your side of this issue would be extremely appreciated.
Hi,
You can read answers from gromvoiny here:
when they said “we have 40 packs in sales” and its true but they count the 2,5$ like packs at the same level as the 70$ or 60$
They don’t count them “at any level”. You are the one doing ‘levels’. Don’t blame that on them.
Thank you for taking the time to give us additional insight on why XBox players are not privy to most sales. At least we have a reason now.
Lesser played nations are played less for a reason. Gaijin’s incentive is: increased time spent in game which translates to a possibility of spending more money. But there’s little incentive for anyone beyond a completionist, a collector, or someone most likely from there to play them.
For example, China is a mostly copy-and-paste nation; borrowing heavily from the US and the Soviets. So then why not just play either of those nations? They have more vehicles to build better, more rounded line-ups. Japan isn’t at the forefront of tank development when you think of WW2 tanks so they don’t seem nearly as interesting or even viable really. So get ready to slog through the first three ranks to get to their mostly US-borrowed line before you have to slog through another rank or two to get to their original modern stuff.
The UK has nothing viable at top tier for air battles. We’ve been told something will eventually be added but considering the additions added else where, and the constant up-tiering (because for the life of all of us, Gaijin absolutely refuses to address decompression), you’re stuck taking a rather crap-tastic Tornado against F-14s and Mig-23s. And what’s your wildly over-priced premium for Italy? A F-104. Against F-14s, F-16s, Mig-23s, and Mig-29s.
Personally, there is very little Gaijin could ever do to incentivize me to play these. Short of just giving me the 10.0 and higher vehicles (which obviously won’t happen). So I just don’t play them. Whatever possible vehicle they could have, you can most likely find and experience it in one of the Big Three. I started France, Sweden, and UK’s ground trees but the ground vehicle grind is still an absolutely grind that even with premium time and premium vehicles, its just not enough so I rarely touch them anymore.
And I feel safe in assuming a lot of people feel the same. Again, they are played less for a reason.
