Modern vehicles were inevitable, I have no problem with them. It would be nice to see updates focused on the actual game modes, historical content, and older vehicles. Maybe we can lay off the newest shiniest things for a while? WT is definitely outpacing what it can do with all these new things. Its fundamentally the same game from many years ago but with some crazy modern tech.

An update focused on bringing in the many cold war interceptors we could have would be amazing. Focus on re-working the game modes to not be the nearly same thing we have had for a decade. Maybe some more historical events or locations brought to the game. That would be my wishlist, pretty much in that order.

The anime ad was giga cringe but I can’t talk, im still sad about missing out on the omaneko pillow tbh, lmao.

At least the low quality anime content can be blocked on wt live, It would be nice if the same could be done for decorations in game. Totally fine on Japanese things though imo.

The inside of a tank will always smell bad btw. Because tanks don’t have showers and you might be out for a looooong time before you see one again. For soldiers that’s no biggie as they are in the open but tanks are enclosed

All of its ads focused around predominate vehicles that were already in the game at the time of adoption. It retained every vehicle of Birds of Steel, and original CBT teasers had shown these exact vehicles as a selling point of the game.

Even before ground battles there had been Korean war era vehicles, though. It had started as WW2 centered, yes, but War Thunder’s primary purpose was to move away from that legacy with a new progression system.

The first is nothing more than a PR stunt made to promote a movie, and in turn push high rep towards Gaijin. Maps were made off of the movie. Vehicles were added because of the movie. It isn’t at all indicative of its gameplay loop, nor what the game was trying to achieve.

12 year olds are not supposed to play the game. You cannot ignore that because you want to.

Should 12 year olds be playing GTA? No. Should Rockstar make GTA appropriate for Children because of this? No.

Youtube is Advertiser friendly, not kid friendly. That’s literally what Youtube Kids is for.

You’re literally lying blatantly. Game Companies do not get to decide how a Country thinks their game should be rated. Gaijin advertises its game in its TOS as 16+, not 12+. The EU has decided 12+ can play because they don’t look into the game properly and have different standards than Gaijin wants.

I do not have ANY opinion on the rest of the posts in this thread, but the things you say here is wrong.

Players 16+ do not need consent, 12-16 do need consent from parents. Gaijin intentionally design and word things in the game to achieve the 12+ rating on purpose. why do you think crew are “unconscious” and not killed?

No, You may be a Game Master, but you are wrong.

The Age Rating in the US is Teen, which does not include 12 year olds.

Secondly, you need parental permission for literally everything on the internet at 12 years old LEGALLY in most countries. That’s just how the internet is.

The choice of unconscious over killed is specifically because they want the 16+ rating, not the 12+ rating. If they were gunning for 12+, they wouldn’t have paired with a literal porn actress.

And the rating in the EU is PEGI 12.

Correct, but the DEV’s can design a game with the aim of a certain rating, and if they then get it is up to the committee, the DEV’s can then change the game to accommodate to try to get the rating again.

The ToS includes wording for player UNDER the age of 16 to be able to play with parents consent.

Edit:
ps: i as a Game Master have nothing to do with Forum Moderation.

And they haven’t? It’s very clear that PEGI didn’t properly evaluate this game. Advertising a Porn Actress isn’t exactly 12+ friendly.

Pretty sure underage gambling is illegal in Europe. GE crates still exist.

Even if it’s a Legal Loophole in some EU countries, that doesn’t change the fact it isn’t exactly something you want a 12-year-old kid exposed to.

I’m not going to discuss subjective opinion on whether the rating is correct or not, it is however currently a fact that the game is PEGI 12 rated in the EU as well as having wording in the ToS for 12-16 year old players to be allowed to play the game with parental consent.

Your opinion on whether this should or should not be the case does not really matter for the fact to be currently true. That is the SOLE thing i wanted to convey.

Gaijin does not allow 12 year olds to play without Consent, that is what the EU thinks it should be rates as. I’ve already discussed this above. Gaijin, as stated on their own TOS, intentionally says 16+ with parental consent for younger. This does not mean the game is designed for younger.

Gaijin states 16+ for a reason. The Average age for adults in Europe is 16+. They don’t want kids playing their game.

Let me remind you that GTA is 17+ with Parental Consent for Younger and literally contains sex.

Uhhh…Huh?

Correct (i think at least mostly?), this does however still mean that 12 year olds can play the game and are existing within the Gaijin ecosystem.

I think that this mostly has to do with legally binding documents that cant be signed by anyone younger than 16, but not at all sure here.

Why would they then not state “If you are under 16 you cannot play this game at all” instead of this:

[…]

They aren’t saying it’s forbidden, they are saying that players younger than 16 just needs a Guardian to sign the document for them and approve of them playing.

Edit:
Also, the American ESRB rating “Teen” includes anyone 13 and above so while you are technically correct here:

that’s just nitpicking a one year difference in the rating, They are still children.
