So another patch today, but SAS still not fixed, still not working.
No one? Absolutely no one? There isn’t a single person who wouldn’t say that the game interface is stuck in the last century and needs to be changed.
Imagine if they added the pretty darn well documented FK2000 instead of the make belive 625 we got…

Why Gaijin didn’t write about BR and Tier changes in Naval battles?
This bug significantly impacts air simulator players and borders on making the game close to impossible to reliably enjoy:

Since the recent major update, aircraft visibility has been significantly reduced. Earlier, aircraft can be spotted at medium ranges as a black dot which would be clearly visible for everyone. However, the size of that black dot is significantly reduced since the “Leviathans” update.
Anyone who plays simulator battles regularly and are used to spotting targets with eyes would be able to notice this significant difference in aircraft visibility. Players reported this issue in forums as well ([Bug] Aircraft Not Rendering Beyond 1km in Sim Mode – Game Nearly Unplayable - #13 by CumanKipchak-psn).
My guess is that the black outline that usually covers the planes is missing since the recent update. This led to reduced contrast and they blend well with the background (both sky and ground).
I don’t have a high resolution example of this plane visibility before the update but you should be able to spot the difference from the attached screenshot.
Screenshot 1 is low resolution (snapped from a earlier game play clip) and you should be able to see the plane (dot) at medium distance without any issue.
Screenshot 2 is captured recently and it can be observed that the plane silhouette is barely visible (it would be invisible if it was low resolution as previous screenshot)
Yeah I noticed it too yesterday. Very aggravating especially for VR-players in Sim…
it amazes me how they didnt change anything sim related but broke 2 very important things for it

Yeah, add to that the Sim-exclusive TV/IIR/TGP viewpoint not in line of sight that was introduced about a year ago, then got fixed relatively quickly, then 8 month again was re-introduced and is still broken…
I really hope it won’t break the long-awaited D-day custom event this weekend. I was looking forward to it :c.

Oh, if you check the F-15A in x-ray you can see that there’s a tws mode for radar, while the radar has only SRC PD modes in the game, lol

I may do a suggestion when i have some time, but differenciating tracks with colord depending on IFF return could help uncluter the screen a bit, as it can sometimes be difficult to read when multiple missiles are flying around (could be a feature available to advanced systems only)
If you click the IFF tab it sorts by enemy or friendly

It does technically have a TWS mode, as RAM is one.

Yeah it’s kinda annoying, considering the AN/APG-63 should have a normal TWS mode anyways, as it was added with PSP. However gaijin has refused to accept bug reports on it because we only have documents outlining what the PSP upgrade will be, not anything confirming the upgrade ended up having it (although it very obviously did, we don’t have anything explicitly saying it).

I have the reflex of using the map though tbh, since it’s the most useful to identify who is a threat and who has a higher chance of eating my missile when i throw it
tbh IF this patch is the make or break of naval, from Gaijin’s point of view, we are screwed.
A few OP and botched ships won’t solve the insane RP requirements the insane br compression (especially in coastal) the new arcade aiming system introduced unfairness…etc
You know what makes me stop playing naval? When I’m in an unstable, low fire rate dinky boat and ofc its rough seas, which makes ~50% of the shots go completely off target. Basic crap like this and the buggy mess of launching torps and sea mines(launches multiple when it shouldn’t, or refuses to launch any) is just there and never getting fixed.
Shame, cause I really wanted to have the Austro-Hungarian navy and river monitors, but I don’t think a dead gamemode will get more (sub)nations.
Ok, another patch, still SAS not fixed. So I can’t play yet. Do you plan to refund all this premium time not used because of you? I don’t think so
