You and I have very, very different definitions of cheap.
A kilogram of bread costs 2.5 euros. This kilogram of bread can keep you fed for about 3 days alongside a 2 euro bowl of butter that lasts the whole month.
Even that’s not cheap though. That literally costs 0.5 hours of full-time employment at a pharmaceutical company with an MSc in chemistry after taxes (5 euros per hour, using a rounded 500 000 HUF/month income and assuming legal 160 work hours and 33% tax)). It costs ~70% of an average person’s income per hour after taxes (3.63).
I’d be fine with paying for warthunder for a vehicle that interested me. Nothing else. Kingcobra would be cool but it’s marketplace, others are either prototypes or copy paste of foreign planes.
Based on my setups having premium vehicle and aces.
Sure, I meant aces. The whole topic is about that, so I did not specify this moment.
You mean your statistic on some plane will differ significantly if you switch from experts to aces?
Based on what?
I do not deny the influence of aces on plane performance, but I do not believe it will make big difference. WT random battles is not always about 1vs1.
I play this vehicle in GRB mode, and when I use plane, I prefer hidden attacks, when ace crew makes no big sense.
I guess I realize the problem here. You guys seem to be cyber athletes, so you consider this game only as a duel between players. That is why you count every %, every gramm, every m/s.
In my opinion, for those players who play this game differently, aced crew is nothing more just pleasant bonus, not game changer.
I respect that I wasnt trying to be rude and If I was I apologise. I just said this since I find it sooo funny that something thats soo long in game is suddenly after some guy made video on Youtube assumming its crew skill , IMPO I think its bug, now crew skill is something that makes you better player… Hilarious…
Sustained 5.5G turn. Using F4U-4 as I can do this consistently. Removed the G-suit as I want to simulate Bf109F and not late-war G suit stuff. Also F4U-4 is basically immune to wing rip, so i can focus on just maintianing 5.5G without worrying about over-speed
I’m quite surprised by the fact that you surprise that most people are too cheapskate to spend even 5 bucks on digital item, but same people wouldn’t mind spending thousands on iPhone because it makes them feel high class lol
Effects of crew skill being too noticeable is something that has been discussed for years.
Problem with Keen Vision and spotting in the game isn’t about P2W, it’s about how unrealistic it is to have that in Realistic and Simulator battles.
Because if I run into an enemy at 5 kilometer altitude and they/I dive away, my american crews and keep up the descending spiral and disengage/survive/get hits on/get the kill.
While my german/japanese/etc crews, disregarding wing rip speeds (but in a real fight we camp ~400-600 km/h, not go up to 800 km/h), my crew will pass out and fly straight - either becoming a easy target, the vignette makes me lose my target or simply be unable to pull my nose on them and thus they survive.
I don’t see how you fail to understand how one plane being able to sit at up to 6.1G without negative effects (aced, or 5.9G expert and max) while the other passes out after exceeding 4.8G does not massively impact your available tactics and maneuvers that are NOT tied to the airframe you’re using nor what your enemy is ussing, but to an out-of-match system that takes 58 hours to max without premium, and still an absurd 29 hours WITH premium (2571+2571=5142 5142/0.01= 514K. 514K/2.2K (non-premium)|4.4K(premium)=233|116 UA cycles, 1 UA cycle is 15 minutes, so 233x15/60|116x15/60=58|29)
it is rather an issue of pilot performance than plane performance. Imho the fellow player @RunaDacino gave quite good examples regarding the impact. Even if they are sometimes a bit too detailed, his research should convince you.
But i fully agree to the second part - usually you have to create 1 vs 1 s by your own, players tend to stay in groups / furballs, so you have to convince one of them to follow you…
This explains a lot, the pilot quality in Ground RB is even lower than in Air RB - so you are technically right. The picture changes if you meet actual pilots and markers prevent sneak attacks.
Whilst i fully agree to your last part (everybody is free to play how he wants) your first part is imho a wild guess - and with reference to me it is actually wrong regarding “cyber athletes”, whilst i do agree that air combat is also a contest of skill and the rare opportunities for having prolonged fights with good pilots is (besides WW 2) my main reason to play wt.
This “experiment” only proves that aced crew affects the stamina to overG and nothing more.
What an “unexpected” result!
Try to do real experiment. I did this experiment (not intentionally).
But, for sure, it makes no sence, since it is me. I do not know how to use full potential of the vehicle :)
My man then play another plane… Like I dont get it, you talk like every single player know same things as you… Its like everyone is top player and if they was then I would agree with you like this…common…
This part is probably why it feels more annoying in air SB to me: the very thing I found I like the mode for (far more 1v1, 2v2 and similar small scale encounters) make this come up much more readily and often.
I see black dot, I fly to black dot to investigate, we pass by each other recognizing we’re enemies and now it’s an 1vs1 for at least a good 2-3 minutes until people see the two black dots spraying tracers and come to investigate (or we call for help).
This is something I love, but I just hate how “oh wait, I’m in my german/british plane… I can’t do this because I’ll pass out while my P-51 could do this just fine.”
This is a pretty massive difference that can either make you fly straight while evading someone, or blackout and lose your target while chasing them.
So, you don’t think in a 1vs1 dogfight, as is pretty common in ASB, being able to sit on someone’s tail indefinitely as they’re pulling up to 5.9/6.1 trying to escape you until you are able to get a shot off makes no difference to if you suddenly lose control 21 seconds in and plummet from 1.7 kilometer high to 1.1 kilometers until you regain control?
Nor do you think it impactful that one player can BnZ at 680 km/h, hard pull and retain control to open fire while the other passes out and misses the shot opportunity?
Nor do you think it impactful to have someone on your tail, you’re pulling a last-ditch maneuver to survive. If you ddi this in Crew A, you’d be fine. But because you’re in crew B, now you’re flying straight for a good 2-3 seconds making a very easy shot?
But sometimes you lose fight its normal… Like Im trying to understand you but I just cant…I get it aced crew makes diffrence still if you dont know how to position yourslef or manoeuvres its irrelevant.
Aliens captured chemist, physicist and mathematician. Put them separately in rooms, gave a lot of instruments, notebook and locked chest with food. In a couple of weeks they checked them.
Chemist first. He is full, satisfied. Chest is open. Checked the notebook. One page is filled with chemical reactions. So, he used chemicals to open the chest.
Physicist second. He is also full and satisfied. Chest is open. Checked the noteook. One page is filled with formulas of material strength and calculation of impact spot. He used tools to open the chest.
Mathematician at the last. Starving, angry, agressive. Chest is closed. Checked the notebook. Every page is filled with text and formulas! And every page starts with the same phrase “Let’s assume the chest is open…”
Enough theory. If you claim WT is p2w, then prove it with real experiment.
This might be the reason for the resistance of some of the folks here, they can’t follow rather easy to understand topics as the don’t have similar passion levels regarding air combat.
Dude - you tried to educate others that a maxed crew and an aced plane plays no role. If you can’t follow basic thing regarding ACM this is a “you” problem.
There is no need to convince you - every halfmost decent pilot is fully aware of this topic.
I do not see this whole debate as a p2w issue - if you don’t want to go in a fight you are unable to win as you can’t perform the necessary maneuvers due to low crew skills, you have 2 options:
Play long enough to get a max crew and ace for free and avoid unwinnable fights until then, or…
Invest the few bucks to upgrade crew and your plane right now.
The criticism i see it that these few bucks increase the higher you go, sum up if you have line-ups and play different nations and the RP requirements to get this for “free” are reaching astronomical amounts.
That’s why we have discussions with >700 posts which confirm the importance of crew skills:
So instead of trying to look smarter than you actually are, relax and do not expect that anybody will take you seriously if you have doubts about the impacts of a maxed crew and an aced plane.
Personal equipment cannot be included as part of the game design process, so irrelevant question.
Crew skills are an intentional game design decision gaijin made, and thus can be criticized.
@KatukovM
Have 2 “Real game examples” of G-LOC that in my previous experiments would NOT have occured (maxed G/Stamin+expert being able to sustain indefinite up to 5.9G, and being able to slam a P-51 into the ground at 680 km/h and pull out last second into a flat circle versus Bf109F4 doing vertical scissors at 600 km/h passing out on the “low” end of the exchange).
Bf109F4 vertical scissors with XP-50
Did I play this perfectly? No. I should have cut throttle when on top of the scissor and diving down to tighten my turn and maybe get guns of the XP-50 earlier.
Did I play this perfectly? No, I made a very “I should have died” mistake earlier in our duel during the first merge where I bled too much speed. And maybe I could’ve had better aim and hit the few shots of opportunity I had. My only defence - server replays don’t show the gyro sight working properly, I pulled the trigger when the enemy fuselage was within my gyro sight trusting my vertical targetting.
Did I enjoy this duel? Incredibly, it was fun to have a fight start at 4.5K and slowly bleed energy until we were mowing grass almost. It just bothers me how if I used my crew slots 1/2 rather than crew slot 5, it would have been an easier win.
And this is the big one. I never ran into crew skill issues flying just my american planes since they were already maxed. Deciding to diversify and fly every WW-2 relevant nation/manufacturer made it very painful.
