War Thunder is Going to die in 2-4 Years

He thinks that anyone who doesnt want to have a hard seperation of ww2 vehicles is a child who knows nothing about history.

And i guess he now believes that that anyone who doesnt want the hard seperation is someone who thinks ww2 never happened?

I really hope so, then the pain and suffering will hopefully end and I can go on with my life

Warthunder makes money hand over fist if steam revenue rankings are any indicator. And i know most ppl dont even use steam to buy for obvious reasons.

Truth is if any game will make it to 20 year anniversary in a not dead state its either going to be this WoW.

There just isnt a feasible path for any game dev to come into the space WT occupies and actually put up a game that would conpete DAY 1 against this. And no one is going to give a new game the time of day if its severly lacking, look at GHPC for example.

new players will learn… nobody is so special and unreplaceable… and afterall its just a game its not rocketscience.

It isn’t as you say, But the New Player don’t have the knowlage of war thunder when it was more balanced, They wouldn’t have as much hope at the since they entered it at a worst state

You dont know this how could you? How do you know what is Gaijins most profitable source of revenue? it could be crew skills for all any of us know unless you have proof we can see.

We do know top tier is plagued by ODL and apparently players who do not know what they are doing. We have proof of very small teams sometimes presumably because there is not enough players for a big one.

We have long term players saying good bye on this forum.

Like I said ,define a game that is dying, define dying and the process of a game dying. This is the start and the people leaving in droves may well come as a result

These are complaints from long term players thinking of quitting and why. These posts are so common. No pint trying to shout them down.

some people just play for fun, they don’t have the urge to play just the meta vehicles just to be the best.
and top tier requiere less skill then props. that is just my opinion.

until it will be an alternative, people will not leave the game.

world of planes and world of tanks it is inferior to warthunder and by the way those games are pay to win… warthunder is just pay to grind.

Nice speech but not true,we know people are leaving ,there are hundreds of other games out there.WT is not even a top 20 pvp game

the old guard is leaving and being replaced by those that joined right after them

this always happens in every game

at some point people just stop being interested in the game, that may take 3 weeks 6 months or 9 years

Oh damn is that third one the screenshot from the pre-RP era??? I joined a little after that got changed and never ever got to see that stuff.

Dw, it will live longer than that, and continue getting more frustrating, get 100 dollar premiums, more tone deaf devs.

Let me guess, in that 2-4 years, you will not be here, so there will be no one to call you out and ask “so what happened, WT is still strong and rocking”?

Same like here: Is This game Dead? or here: WarThunder=dying game?

War Thunder is huge, living project, one of the most played F2P title on Steam and one of the most popular military game available. It’s sad, that your personal passion towards it slowly burn out, but don’t be affraid, game is strong and Gaijin do not have any plans to abandon it.
Not everyone is made to play one game for a dozen years. Plenty of players play WT for a few, a dozen or a few dozen hours and get bored. Even if you stop playing (and the game dies FOR YOU), it doesn’t mean it goes out of business. If you decide to come back to it in another 2-3 years, your account will be waiting for you :) (assuming you make that mistake, and take a break from playing, which of course I don’t encourage ;) )

I am surprised the hamsters lasted as long as they have. They are not known for their longevity. I bet Gaijin keep the secrecy of their long lives close to their chest?

First, I barely play tanks, I’ll get to top tier eventually anyways, for me it’s planes and ships.

I actually enjoy top tier ships, I don’t really enjoy top tier planes, I get them anyways, though hardly play them, just collect them I guess. I like ww2 planes best.

I guess in the end you just have to set your own goals for your own WT experience…

They already created a small civilization after all the years.

I’m guessing you’ve not checked out the Vehicle suggestions, this game has plenty of time left in it, probably another 10+ years, its going nowhere.

It won’t die until all the bombers have detailed cockpits. Then I’d worry.

Just stick to WW2 and the games pretty great…at least I think. No interest in point and click modern crap.

This game has played an active role on my life ever since I was 14, back when the Ground Forces Open Beta was released…

Even more; if we consider Birds of Prey and Birds of Steel prior iterations of War Thunder, then it would be ever since I was 10, hahah. Even when I was just a kid I was fascinated by the perfect combination of arcade and simulation elements signature of this game.

And I really, REALLY hope it remains online and fully supported even long after all potential vehicle additions have been implemented.

Since War Thunder’s cycle relies on the addition of new content, I always fear that it will be discontinued once we run out of any potential additions…

So I just hope that, even once there’s nothing left to add, the devs still maintain the servers open and supported for as long as possible.

Because if there’s a game I KNOW I would never stop playing voluntarily, it’s War Thunder :’)
