I’m guessing you’ve not checked out the Vehicle suggestions, this game has plenty of time left in it, probably another 10+ years, its going nowhere.
It won’t die until all the bombers have detailed cockpits. Then I’d worry.
Just stick to WW2 and the games pretty great…at least I think. No interest in point and click modern crap.
This game has played an active role on my life ever since I was 14, back when the Ground Forces Open Beta was released…
Even more; if we consider Birds of Prey and Birds of Steel prior iterations of War Thunder, then it would be ever since I was 10, hahah. Even when I was just a kid I was fascinated by the perfect combination of arcade and simulation elements signature of this game.
And I really, REALLY hope it remains online and fully supported even long after all potential vehicle additions have been implemented.
Since War Thunder’s cycle relies on the addition of new content, I always fear that it will be discontinued once we run out of any potential additions…
So I just hope that, even once there’s nothing left to add, the devs still maintain the servers open and supported for as long as possible.
Because if there’s a game I KNOW I would never stop playing voluntarily, it’s War Thunder :’)
The best thing that can happen for the players is if Gaijin actually do risk going under. They will try to improve the game or they will fail, and if that is the case it will be well deserved.
nah i disagree
thank you for clarify this for the other guys!!!
I love this game
The most expensive part of development is the vehicles after all.
If they can get those done while the money’s flowing, then they can operate better if/when the money reduces.
Still status-quo in activity.
And all those complaining about top tier have no reason to worry right?
It dies and then there will be War Thunder 2 😂
What could they do in War Thunder 2 that didn’t do in War Thunder 1?
Realism
In what way?
Gaijin has a good 5 to 10 years until the game actually dies, this game still has a TON of potential and especially in new game modes and the future of naval and combined arms.
The last thing Gaijin would want is their biggest game to die out
Since War Thunder’s cycle relies on the addition of new content, I always fear that it will be discontinued once we run out of any potential additions
I mean look at DCS, it’s basically a community run game with updates every blue moon, I can see the same happening with community servers/customs in War Thunder. I believe the future of War Thunder is in its game modes.
A lot of ways. Starting from removing all non historical stuff ending with Historical BR’s(by years)
Girls and Panzers
I hope there is still automatic matchmaking even then, though.
The main reason why I don’t play DCS or ArmA 3 is how you must rely on custom community server browsing to find and join a game.
I would place you in charge of the project.
WT won’t die as long as players put money into it.
There were something like 32 production variants of the Spitfire, nothing else ever came close to that… So, we have not collected them all… yet :P
So, there are potentially millions of different variants of Aircraft, Tanks and Ships… as for Ships there can be early and late configurations during their life too
But, also there are untold number of field modifications that could be added to Aircraft, Tanks and Ships too, to help keep things interesting
Maps and game modes as some others have been talking about too
Technology is currently going… crazy… so there are untold ways War Thunder can go in the Future…
