War Thunder Hottakes

The USSR and China being the only ones with strong ERA versus kintetic munitions is pretty accurate, the west never placed such emphasis on ERA that is meant to protect against such munitions

itd be fun if the soviet union suddenly actually had no armour

it is extremely op and you cannot say im wrong for my silly little chinese bastard tanks have no apparent way to counter it unless i ofcourse get to the slightly better tanks that i do not yet have

plus china has no good tanks, dont fight me on this i play it and i am right every time

I agree that used to be the case, definitely.

Not an expert, but it seems that the French invest a lot in heavy reactive armor in recent years. I have a hard time accepting that the big chonker is less effective than the pancake.

china wins!

CQC is more fun that long range sniping with modern tanks.

Are you high

Crew lock should be completely removed. Early leaves are due to Gaijin over-monetizing progression, poor map design, bad matchmaking, and over compressed BR’s and you can’t blame players for that.

Spitfires are almost unbeatable against an experienced player who has landed in a somewhat advantageous position. I.E. Being above you and with more energy. The rest boils down to skill such as dictating the fight’s direction considering you have a lower engine speed and can force them to throw away advantages using your superior maneuverability. And then in terms of armament, just git gud.

If he can catch you, that is.

also, you’re picking one of the rarest scenarios in air rb when in reality the spit is usually saddled with a multiple enemies / teamfight scenario that it is not suited for dealing with.

For another example of a plane that should be great on paper but is mediocre in practice, see the F8F-1B.

Nah, just my experience.

yes, the Supermarine spiteful was an attempt to design a sucessor to the spitfire but it didn’t get very successful

however the “Spitfire” MK 22 and MK 24 were Supermarine’s attempt at combining the sucess of the Spitfire with the better design of the Spiteful

thus both used the Griffon engine, both got a changed wing shape to be more closely like the Liminar one of the Spiteful and Some MK 22 and all MK 24 got the tail of the Spiteful

the MK 24 was a Full Aerodynamic redesign compared to earlier spitfires and the only reason why it was called spitfire and not Spiteful in active service was because of the good reputation of the spitfire

it’s the same reason as why the AiM-9X is still called sidewinder even tho it shares about nothing with the rest of the Sidewinder family

  • Spiteful wasn’t accepted into service because it was far too late to meet the war and didn’t offer significant benefits over Mk.21/22 before the RAF was more interested in Jets. Same reason the Hawker Fury didn’t replace the Tempests in service, there was nothing massively wrong with either design.
  • The only thing Mk.22/24 used from Spiteful was the enlarged tail section, Spiteful had a completely different fuselage and wing design. Mk.22 wings were an improvement over the Spitfires E wing, mostly strengthening and standardising the wings for 4 20mm cannons.
  • Griffon engines were being used in Spitfires since the Mk XII in mid 42, several months prior to Spitefuls requirement order in late 42 iirc.

Flying metal pieces are more effective, but far more dangerous when infantry is around.

" One step forward, two steps back" is their philosophy when adding positive things

The Squadron Me-262 is in a Sorry State. It cannot engage light targets, on Rooikats I consistently get yellow wheels and transmission. Is this appropirate Damage for 4x30mm+2x20mm Armament!?

it appropriate for HE damage
Are you using the right ammo belts?
