Was in a flat spin in the F4U-7. Everyone knows that the procedure to get out is cut power, neutral ailerons, opposite rudder to spin, and pitch down. This had the opposite effect and exacerbated the flat spin. Proceeded into a test flight and tried the opposite, with maximum power and rudder into the spin and it corrected almost instantly.
Unrelated but the F4U-7’s canopy has had bugged reflections for over a year.

Yeah the FM’s have been whack for a while.
The thing I hate most about spinning is when you enter a spin even with light damage and it enters the scripted death spin. You know the one, when you’re spinning with one wing cocked into the air more than the other. As far as I’m aware it’s irrecoverable.
I always get nervous when you see flight model updates in the dev blog. Because lately it seems to mean they’ve simplified it. Certain SB FM’s feel like they have instructor mode on. The P-40 is an eye opening example.
