Eepy missile
what radar band is the R-27EP able to track?
One would assume it can track the common NATO fighter radar bands and whatever band the E-3 Sentry uses. The missile is new enough to probably have a broadband seeker that doesn’t need to be programmed for one specific band before takeoff like older missiles of the same type.
Also gaijin probably will just give it a broadband seeker for gameplay.
I doubt it has a broadband seeker because its meant against aerial targets
I band is the most likely answer because this is what majority of airborne radars uses
from what i found it is using this seeker:
9B-1032
but i didnt find anything about the seeker yet
Isn’t this the seeker?

In which case, it looks like J band.
I’m not sure tho.
USSR makes missile that only lock onto USSR radars, truly a moment in history. Same level as US early RWRs that can detect everything but the radars of their main adversary
Mig-23 and MiG-25 killer
It’s SARH seeker.
Then it should be I band. USSR Airforce stopped using J-band radars for their aircraft with MiG-29 and Su-27 introduction.
The 9b-1101k is the seeker for the r27r

As i said, then it can’t operate on J band, because radars of MiG-29 and Su-27 operate on I band.
its still not the 27(E)P seeker
It does, the Proximity fuze on the r27 is located on the warhead module, you can see the rectangular radomes panels before the control fins
Hey, I along with some other people noticed that R-27ER now can miss the simplest shots (target going HOT, not maneuvering, high closure rate). If any of you spot a similar problem, take a look at this bug report

I’ve had this same issue with r-27er on 27sm. Misses easy shots for some reason, maybe proxy doesn’t work or something
Gaijin trying to make loosing R-27s on a MiG-29K not a nerf
Had fuse fail on a breadth of missiles. Would not be surprised if something broke.
