still weird that i cant reproduce this issue, especially since i heard someone talk about this exact issue before and said that it also applies to other sarh missiles
that might come from with the issue being user dependent and the scope of it might change depending on who tries
that atleast would explain why 3 different ppl get 3 different results
The missile goes IOG right after launch but will never connect with the radar if you lock after that
that is also what my friend told me
it is just weird to me that he could replicate it with different missiles as well, while you are only able to do it with the r-27 and well i cant replicate it at all

I wonder, can anyone else recreate me launching radar missiles from the F-14D using IRST? Since i haven’t heard of anyone else having it. It would be interesting if its the same kind of bug, guidance breaking but only for certain people…

So… neither can be launched in IRST on my end
Nah, the radar will enter a glitched mode if it can, uh, try swapping between IRST TRK from TRK MEM from TRK PD HDN, it breaks the radar.
When locking with HDN search modes it will automatically go to medium prf mode on the F-14D which holds the lock very well. (switching IRST back and forth doesnt do anything for me)

Nah on the D, idk why but sometimes it will go to PD HDN TRK, even though most of the time it just uses PD TRK
I tried on the far away ai targets and it goes to all aspect PD track for me anyway. I’m yet to see a HDN PD lock on the F-14D (I don’t own it, only on test drives)

but I did launch the missiles in PD mode and not tws, and the missiles did seem to actually track the target and not just be in iog mode.
Still maybe the tracking or something became funky because of this bug

Su-30mkk and mk2 wont see any targets time to time on tws mode at all. Need to roll tws hdn and keep it there for a while.
Kind off funny since you should be able to guide upto 2 R-27’s in TWS (for some radars)
IRL you can launch missiles without proper tracks.
Never understood why Gaijin handheld us in that regard.
