I believe the F4S is way to overpowered for the event, I would like to place a vote to forbid it from the event.

It’s by far the best plane allowed for the lower BR, but even then, it’s really not that oppresive.

An ML would make the most sense, but the MLD isn’t the greatest anyways because of it’s unwieldy radar which suffers hard when being forced to fly low.

An equivalent to the F-4E (I.e no PD or MTI radar mode)

Getting fed up of having 4x Aim-7E that I cant use because the radar doesnt work against anything below 1000ft. 9Ls dont work agaisnt anyone with eyes. So im left defending against R-24Rs with the canon as my only weapon

I do agree its better, but it’s not like the soviets can get anything else that isn’t a Mig-21 (which would only be fair if the F-4E lost its 9Ls in the event).

Nothing, thats the point, it wouldnt be one side having an advantage in nearly every single respect.

  • Mig-23MLD is equally fast, if not marginally faster
  • MIg-23MLD is the better dogfighter
  • Mig-23MLD has better SARH
  • Mig-23MLD has better CMs
  • Mig-23MLD has a better radar (that works in ground clutter)

Every single equal matchup in history has one side having things it does better than the other, while the other side has its own upsides that counteract the 1st side’s upsides.

So, let me ask you again, what exactly is it that you think the MiG-21 does better than the F-4E

at least 75% of my kills in the event on USA side are using AIM-7E2s on targets that are flying no higher than 1500m. Please. Simply multipath the R-24

I have not gotten a single SARH kill because the radar does not lock onto anything. Even in ACM pointing at something flying at about 500-1000ft, and then 1 LCM chaff and the radar is defeated

Which doesnt always work, especially if you have 1 brain cell and loft the misile slightly
