Just a note of thanks gougin…Really appreciate the bomber buff, although the only bombers I fly are the T18B and B7A2 which were not part of the bomber buff, but did receive BR increases, twice for the B7A2…I know you claim to have done really extensive research on the reasons why bombers needed such a huge buff, even if it is total fantasy from a historically accurate POV, but did you look at anything as far as consequences for doing this???..
Did you ever consider that since fighters are mostly ineffective that every bomber pilot would fly at ground level, while those who fly bombers who were not gifted with invulnerability still had to climb to altitude or just get shot down on the way over…Did you consider the fact that no one bothers to communicate and the bombers who climb have almost no chance of killing bases since by the time they are high enough to be safe the bases are mostly dead and you really cant bomb a base cause you are just dropping on soon to be destroyed bases or targets???..
Did you consider that the now invulnerable bombers included in the buff can take out, at ground level, all the airfield defenses without being killed???..Doesn’t sound like you did any of what you claimed you did…
You did accomplish what you didn’t brag about, namely you got rid of 90% of the high game, everyone flys at ground level now…The bomber buff people are happy cause now all they have to do is fly till they die and never bother with that irritating thing known as “Skill”…
You also accomplished another goal which is to have everyone dive into the furball where the number of planes you have in a lineup is more important than learning how to use them, so people die 8, 10, 12 times a game an it doesn’t matter cause they get rewarded every time they die…
Of course there were far better ways of doing this, IMHO, but that would not have resulted in so much frustration in the player base, and you do love a lot of frustration…
Really enjoying the historical accuracy of seeing heavy bombers flying along at ground level without a care in the world while killing multiple fighters…There are multiple other problems with your extensively researched bomber buff, but I have to go touch the grass I miss…
