at this point we dont know tbh since germany its having the 130 mm gun in mind and the 120 with the autoloader already having a patent, but im predicting its gonna be a 120 mm since the autoloader patent its for a 120 mm gun and there is an 120 mm apfsds patent
Ew, that autoloader is so over-engineered, but it is German, so what would you expect. But yeah, would make sense, I don’t know if there really is any positive of the 13cm over the 12cm, other than larger chem munitions. Maybe it’s just the way I think, economically, but a standardized NATO tank would make sense, simply because it’s cheaper, it’s not specialized, and easy to maintain by all nations, but yet again, it’d have to be a Jack-of-all-trades, Master-of-none.
not over engineered in fact its pretty simple, an elevator and a belt that pushes the ammo in, it take 4 seconds to reload
I see that now, it’s a snaking belt. I personally don’t get why it has the other half, unless it snakes over, and it drops the round into the slider. Maybe I’m just thinking about old tech, like the 103’s autoloader, it’s way simpler than that, and it’s a similar set-up as well.
24+1 rounds, basically an insane ammount of capacity to solve one of the main issues with the leopard 2
I mean, it could be streamlined more, but maybe that’s just me, it could keep the same extractor-injector system, but the way it could dump the round into the injector could be simpler.
I mean, I know the Strv 103 autoloader loads 10.5mmr casings, so it’s small, but even using a slightly similar system would increase capacity by like 25%, minimum.
i think they designed it like that on purpose to select a round more precisely, if you notice the rounds are stored in tubes with half of them open, like they spin around and the system passes them through to the main elevator, altough idk we havent seen the full thing yet so it might be missing a lot of stuff
If I had MS-Paint, or was on my computer, I could draw what I mean.
It’s the Objekt 477, just by the flaps and light.
yeah plus no clue how it will actually work
This is the 103’s loader to boot.
The loader, it holds 50 rounds. It kinda gravity feeds.
The Magazine is a little odd though. The feed box is at the top I think. It’s a lot simpler, it just kicks the round in the box, and the elevator lifts it, the injector grabs it, the elevator drops, the injector throws it inside the breach, and another round is dropped in the elevator to load next, but it has to be selected from the control system.
It looks like it snakes around, and it loops from the top and bottom, then drops when it goes over, and lands on the injector, and it throws it in, obviously behind a blast door too.
Ok theoretically how would I go about starting a tank specifically the Objekt 477
Go to the back of it, ID what engine it has in it; diesel or gas. Get in the drivers seat and see the fuel level. If it’s got fuel, if it’s diesel, and it’s cold, heat the glow plugs and warm it. Start the vacuum pump, hold the clutch and brake down, put it in neutral, and turn the key. If it starts right up, nice, if it doesn’t, put fuel in it. It depends on what the design Beuro was too, if it was from the people that made the T-80, you won’t have to vacuum start it, if it’s a T-72/90 people, you have to vacuum start it, because it’s a diesel, if it’s a gas turbine, run it on full throttle till the temps reach up, and then put it in gear and drive, remember it has clutch steering.
You all know how the f4 is a missile bus, is there a stealth missile bus out there? Not the su-57 that isn’t stealth
Ok, now I need to figure out where it is
So my devious plan can happen right under there noses 😈
Probably the F-22 or F-35.
Uhh; it’s made my Kharkiv, so it’s probably got a Diesel engine.
Edit: it’s a 6TD-2, so this would help…
Do you know where the 477 is tho?
