I think it’s kinda odd they don’t want a standardized system, it really doesn’t make sense. It opens worlds of opportunities for every nation, and ease or parts.

It’s more like, they don’t want a joint project and want to do it 100% domestic plus Germany already has a patent for a modular MBT with a 120 mm autoloader so expect that modular MBT to be the next MBT from Germany

Not really, MGCS it’s more like they share parts but there is always the political issues, if the other member of the project can’t produce some parts due to some issues ETC, this German project, it’s kinda of like the type 10, make the tank much more easy to repair, more versátile and easier to modernize and adapt for the future wich might be either adding a 130 mm of whatever they feel like adding, it’s a concept similar to type 10 and MGCS but without the political issues of MGCS

Also is it just me or is the barrel faced the other way, if you go back to the original post, you can see where the Turret is and it looks like it wasn’t taken off. It looks like it’s still on the tank.
It is, it’s on the other side, that is kind of a “Bussel” rack on the back of it to autoload, it’s in Russia, no doubt. Do you know which design beuro produced it?

I think the original concept was a 13.0cm gun. I understand there are political issues, but I could see each nation adopting the/a specific vehicle, and having their own countries economic producers (General Electrics/Dynamics, Mitsubishi, and Rheinmetall) having the exact same things, with interchangeable parts and equipment modules. Considering most of Rheinmetalls money from the Bundeswehr is probably being funneled back into their projects, like the MGCS and Kf-61, I could see it possibly emerging as a standardized system, but every country has their own specific needs, so if they are made by that country, or their economic producers, they could have different specific differences.
