The turret was made by RBSL only the gun and add on armour was Rheinmetall only
Doubtful that it would be added at all for a while, mostly because we don’t have any other nation that has a counterpart to it really, yet.

Is that the project going on between Rheinmetall and France right now, the one with modular armor, 130mm gun, auto loaded, like a mix of leopard and LecLerc.
I know America has a love affair for domestic Armored vehicles, but wouldn’t it be smart to have a standardized NATO tank, rather than Leclerc, Leopard 2, Strv 122, Abrams, Type 10, Chally, and K2; so parts are interchangeable and don’t have to be shipped in or out to be repaired and replaced, or at least have standardized parts? The only common ground vehicles in NATO are the Abram’s, that of Poland and America, the Leopard 2’s, that or Sweden and Germany, and the ammunition they can fire, specifically the casing, although I’m sure the ammo would be fire able, say from an Abram’s Silver Bullet round in a Leopard 2A7, right?

I think you’re thinking about MGCS, difference project. Challenger 130mm is Rheinmetall’s testbed for the Rh-130 gun.

As for its protection, it looks almost non-existant; but I’m pretty sure the crew sits really low in the turret, right, or is it a remote turret, I forgor, but there’s also a Viewing station on the left-hand side of the hull. God I can’t wait to see this in game though; with that roof mounted multipurpose station. A few questionable things are, is the ammo stored high in the turret, is the ammo in a blast-rack, does the ammo storage have any protection? If it acts like a Leclerc does in game right now, I’d be super disappointed.
