Oh it seems to be worse than I thought… this is based on what’s on the WT wiki, but if the values given there are still correct it should have AP at 910m/s, HEFI-T (slsgr m/36C) at 850 m/s and SAPHEI (slhpgr m/43) at 880 m/s. The AP is part of the default belt and doesn’t have a particular designation, but it’s actually the slpprj m/42 B fired using the charge PVLNG M/48 at 910 m/s, hence its higher penetration. Basically, lvkv 42 in-game has two shells fired with the old charge and L/60 barrel at 850/880 m/s and one shell fired with the new charge and L/70 barrel. So it’s a complete mess, at least if I’m reading this right, will have to double check later
I know, i sent a issue report a year ago. its been forwarded as a suggestion.
…
still, nothing though.
i included both the Lvkv 42 and VEAK in one report soo. hopefully it will be dealt with soon TM
It’s not just that it’s using ammunition when firing from an L/60 barrel, it’s that in-game it fires with both L/60 and L/70 values.
If you’re referring to this Community Bug Reporting System
I think your issue there was reporting many issues at once while also suggessting additions. You also state that the AP has the wrong velocity even though it is correct in-game, it just doesn’t have its designation
Nope i have one thats closed and submitted.
The 3P is the KULSGR m/95, not m/90.
the L/70 is the m/48 barrel. just different names as far as i know.
Yes, but m/48-36 is not the m/48. In game values seem to be partially based on using the m/48-36 (L/60) barrel which is not correct
Should add that this is not classified and is published everywhere and that this is on page 198 of the pdf. Sadly I can’t for some reason upload the said pdf but screenshots work
when i look at the amkat 1960 the speeds on the wiki it just seems like the twisted the speeds of the slpprj and the slsgr and that is about it.
not only that but the slpprj isn’t even listed as being used for the m/48 barrel.
People remind me how the swedish designation system for ammunition works again, thank you very much. I very senile young boy
i think you are mixing things up.
m/36 = L/60
m/48 = L/70
M/36-48 = barrel that can with a kit be converted between the two.
m/36 can only fire old ammunition.
m/48 only new.
m/36-48 can after conversion fire both types.
what they have done in game is name the barrel m/48 and given it m/36 ammo and speeds (mixed up the slpprj and slsgr speeds between the two).
Hold on no. The Lvakan 36-48 just means its made to be fired from the Lvakan 48 with a conversion kit, there is not three versions
Or well there is three versions but those are mounted on the CV90s
There is no gun known as 40 mm lvakan m/36-48. To my knowledge the ability to switch to the L/60 barrel applies to all basic m/48s
they specifically state in the amkat 1960 that the lvakan m/48 uses the m/36-48 “eldrör” for the m/36-48 shells.
Its the name of the conversion kit
As I mentioned, the slpprj appears in a later AMKAT, or rather a modification of the 1960 AMKAT. It matches the values given for AP in-game exactly
Eldrör means barrel. They’re saying that the lvakan m/48 is modified with the m/36-48 (L/60) barrel to fire old ammunition. There are no m/36-48 shells, only the m/36-48 charge which only seems to be used with one particular shell. Other than that the m/48 with m/36-48 barrel fires most of the standard m/36 shells and charges
