During Eurostatory of 2010, a military exhibition from defense companies, which usually takes place every two years in France. Many new vehicles are presented to the masses of military enthusiasts. This time however it would be the first time we’d see the Dardo IFV in this configuration which CIO presented, this specific configuration would allow the Dardo IFV to have an unmanned HITFIST-OWS 30mm cannon (OWS standing for Overhead Weapon Station), which would also be able to be paired up with 2 Spike atgm launchers. This weapon combination is very deadly and has also been installed of the IVECO SUPERAV. The HITFIST OWS is fitted with a stabilized Panoramic Sight. It has access to a Day TV camera and IR Camera. Its very modern, it includes top situational awareness and fuIl hunter capability modules. In addition to the stronger armament presented, there was also a sort of add-on Armour package similar to the Ariete PSO, although as of now its unknown how much protection it actually provides. It is also unknown if the vehicle would perform the same in terms of speed but its likely to be similar to the Dardo, although its good to note that the new modifications could possibly make the vehicle heavier. Following in-depth studies conducted jointly by the Army and industry, the poor cost / effectiveness ratio of the vehicle modernization emerged, and therefore, in 2016, the VCC-80 “DARDO” modernisation program had been abandoned in favor of a new platform that can respond to the needs of the Armed Force.

Why it should be in game
It should be in game due to how popular the Dardo is, this could be a possibile vehicle after it. The armament makes it a very strong vehicle and basically it could be a top tier IFV for Italy if introduced.
