The Vautour, a jet bomber which is slow, has no manuverability, has a small bomb load, and has no air spawn. This vehicle is honestly one of the most useless vehicles i’ve ever played. No guns, bad bomb load and no air spawn leads to vehicles a full br below you (on your team or enemy team) getting a base before you and even full down tiers enemies can easily kill you. Not to mention up tiers, 9.0 vehicle with no rwr, no guns, missiles etc, no radar and no countermeasures. It has to face f-105’s and f-104s which will run you down and kill you like your an AI target. Not to mention the missiles you have to face at that br. In other words, IT HAS TO GO DOWN IN BR. Its terrible, bombers are not good because of how many bases they are destroy (2 for this thing in one load) but if they ACTUALLY CAN DESTROY THEM.
Totally useless vehicle which gets constant uptiers and has its OWN TEAM destroy all the bases before it gets to the part of the map with its ALLIED BASES.
If it had a air spawn instead of a airfield spawn it would actually be useful like the B-66b but NOOOOO its SOOOOO OVERPOWERED AS A GOD DAMN BOMBER.
None of the 8.3-9.3 jet bombers are doing very well at the moment. What is needed is a major decompression of 7.0+ to allow for them to settle at more appropriate BRs maybe, if we are lucky, get airspawn back. Either that or an ARB overhaul for ground attackers
To be fair , for bombers 8.0-9.0 …ALL the unarmed ones could go 7,7 and the armed ones 8.0 (iL-28 is already 8.0 and the good Arado one is 7.3) . I don’t see ANY reason not to be that low. They won’t even be OP , just playable… because even the fastest of them, has the downside of not be able to kill a base alone (and even if it can i lower tier because bases have less HP , it will need 20 runs to beat the game) …
And let’s assume the game goes dirty and the other team has only prop fighters etc. against 7,7 unarmed bombers they can easily ground pound faster than the bombers while not give a damn about if they die, because they can’t be contested.
And in any case the bombers of that kind (unarmed ones) they can’t be gamebreaking with the current worth of bases.

Most of the bomber players in ARB are GRB players with a single goal: Farm ressources they need in GRB. Crew skill, spading planes, and so on.
If you lower the effort for bombing, they will float every single battle with their useless planes.
Just now I flew a battle 9.0-10.0 with 7 Su-7 in my team. Guess what who died first?
I haven’t flown Vautours for a long while, but it looks like you can survive just fine vs pencils (60% fuel) even when carrying 1 ton of bombs (and 30% fuel), just get yourself to 770 KMH IAS
My most memorable kill in a Vautour was when I made a Mig 21 overshoot and he insta-J’d out lel
It’s absolutely not the worst vehicle, but it is still a victim of compression.
Su-7 is a supersonic , mach 2 capable strike fighter… not a bomber.
I’m talking things like B-66, Canberra, Vautour etc. Bombers.
For them it’s enough effort a MiG 15 or a Sabre hunting them, they don’t need AIM-9D/Gs or R-60s and even AIM-9Bs and R3S are enough for them…
The unarmed ones (that many times share the BR with the armed ones) are even more trash…
Even with a lobby full of props, i’m sure the props will win first just by ground pounding… they don’t even need to go after them …
Now if you are talking about 9.0-10.0 strike fighters and how anyone plays that’s another story…
Yeah, there is an argument to be made to just drop the BR of virtually every aircraft, in every bomber line down 0.7-1.0, but I dont think they’ll ever do it
At least it technically has tail guns. The vautour has literally nothing. You get a guy on your tail and just pray he does not have missiles because you cannot do anything.
When you use any bomber or attacker you must remain undetected, turning off the radar if the aircraft has one, avoid make contrails, only attack distracted enemies if possible
Well , i told you… Strike fighters is another story… you can have whole teams of them and yes many of them are kinda useless or are played as useless .
Bombers you have a limit of 4 per team…in a 16vs16 game.
The bombers in the ranks we talk about if they are lucky (the 9.0s easily meet F-104s, Mig 19s etc.) they will get a base…
That’s why i don’t think i can take an example of it… Totally different things.
Imagine i don’t even play bombers mainly, i’ve just tried them some games and they are in a pretty bad state. Many years now.
Those rear-mounted guns can’t hit anything at 60 meters, besides having a low rate of fire and poor angles. Hitting anything is practically a lottery. I’d prefer any manual rear turret on a G4M to the radar turret on a B-66 any day
I agree. Which is why these aircraft actually can do quite well in Air Sim among other reasons. The issue though? ARB has enemy markers. Which means that it doesnt matter how well you play, you’ll probably be marked and spotted very very quickly, which doesnt just say “hey, there is something here” but “hey, there is a free kill here”
At a minimum, markers need to have the aircraft name removed so that its just a red circle or something, but they could really do with trialing the removal of enemy markers in ARB or add an RB EC with only friendly markers (like in GRB)
I always try to wait until everyone is busy to launch a surprise attack. Otherwise, every time I use the A-6, A-7, F-111, B-66, MiG-27, F-117, Buccaneer, ADs, SU-24… it would take them 3 minutes to kill me if I did what 90% of those who use attack aircraft and bombers do. It’s the same procedure with WWII heavy or medium bombers

You don’t wanna see the real problems bomber have!
It’s not their BR or stronger fighters, it’s the lack of impact to the battle.
The only scenario bombers had a value were maps with destroyable airfields, and if I get it right, they no longer exist since the spearhead update.
Make bombers more valuable to the battle itself!
More ticket bleed per base, a chance to win a battle on their own.
Play the BR range Su-7 are in. In downtiers they run 25min to bases and loose the battle anyway.
And know ask yourself WHY???
And if you so focussed on dedicated bombers, try a Canberra for example. The chance to win a battle multiplies if you fly it as fighter.
WHY IS THAT??
Because their dedicated role in battle has ZERO impact.
Except in the lowest tiers where you can end up destroying the airfield, destroying bases is pretty overrated. That’s why in higher tiers it’s advisable to carry a mixed loadout or even all HE bombs and attack vehicle columns. Your contribution to the team will be greater by eliminating tickets, and tanks reward well
