USSR CAS is being led like a puppy dog while NATO CAS is left handicapped, why?

During WW2 the soviet union had a much heavier focus on CAS then long range bombers because of german invasion, from my opionion it is logical to think that the soviets would have better CAS from the west at least the US, And if they didn’t have the best CAS aircraft, then had the best pilots for them, Like on of the reason the IS-2 was so good was the KV-1, Given that the soviets had the german invasion would leave them with much more expirence and then the Americans in the Ground and CAS, like take into the count the IS-7 really early post war prototype made ONE WEEK after WW2, So logicly given you would expect a Large milliatary with a huge land border with rivals on it to focus on CAS.

the Brimstones were added without the Brimstones main features and with a reduced range

I would rather they didnt add the active radar mode until they model proper ground clutter and smoke with chaff elements.

For a system like this to work they would need to add ai Radar stations around the map so player controlled patriot units could acquire targets. If the enemy team destroys these radar stations, it negates the patriot’s usage.

Meanwhile Japan be like: CAS? You means Mavericks and Ki-148 right?

Or make Patriot Radars a playable vehicle
Would atlest give Germany something Good

but the radar vehicle doesn’t have anyone in it during operation

Why not?

because during oparation, and after the long setup the crew is sat in the command container only

this increases their… survivability you can say

because Anti Radiation missiles will attack the Radar only

the system is made to be survivable even when attacked and having anyone near the radar wouldn’t do that any good

this is also the main reason why few countries have poured more resources into SPAA systems after Capable ARMs were ready

Because Gaijin is a Russian company, they don’t want to see NATO become stronger than Russia, so they found a reason to maliciously balance NATO.

at BR 4.7 yes

at BR 10.0 maybe

at top tier no, the Su-25SM3 is the undisputed king of CAS in ground RB

They’ll get Thai F-16 and Gripen very should

Nope. Fighters like the harrier, 27SM, and F-16 are just as capable of getting in and engaging ground targets on top of being being capable of defending against other aircraft. The 25SM3 has the best missile but the superior airframes and air to air armament of the others FAR outweighs that value. The Frogfoot doesn’t even have a 360 degree targetting pod to help it assess the battlefield while standing off.

Everyone complains about the American (NATO) and Russian forces that they are either too powerful or too weak. Meanwhile, sad Japan with their CAS:
Kamikaze_attacks_USS_Columbia_(CL-56)in_Lingayen_Gulf_on_6_January_1945(NH_79449)
And now seriously, the only precise CAS for Japan is Mavericks on F-16AJ or F-5 planes from Thailand (squadron).

I was more interested in what people would consider NATO in War Thunder. Only NATO countries, or everything that is not Russian/Chinese

eveything that’s not Russian/Chinese (no one cares about japan and they arent in NATO anyways (unless japan decides to move their island to north atlantic))

Yeah USSR has better cas but, US has pretty damn good cas aswell that’s only soured by the fact pantsir exists, its better in some areas aswell like target aquisition due to USSR lacking pods or mobility due to USSR currently only having 1 viable cas which is a fat subsonic plane

No, they aren’t, as long as they open the bay, drop the bomb, and shut it during guidance, no one can hold a lock on them, and are very unlikely to be seen.

It also has IR suppression systems.
