literally both planes with no weapons attached can perform insane turns / maneuvers
It might be because US players seem to focus more on objectives. I had a few sim games at 14.0 with the F15E, and i ve noticed that objectives (Ships , bases , convoys , head-on attacks) get taken care of a soon as they spawn.
Hell i ve been doing it myself . 5 JDAM and 2 AGM-130 is enough to kill around 5 ships on Denmark.
Out of the games ive played this week, i have seen exactly one instance where a non-US player was completing an objective : a Rafale bombing a naval tanker convoy with AASM 250s .
yup and this is why red for will keep losing. people trying to play aim sim like its AIR RB GOING FOR KILLLS AND THEN LOSING anyways
To be fair , if grinding the event is your goal , air kills are a very fast way to get score.
For general RP gain? Not so much.
Considering how the useful action system works , its not profitable to get more than 1-2 kills every 15 minutes.
I’m honestly curious, I don’t play sim. Where do you find these win rates for Red/blue? Is it a thunderskill thing, or is it actually displayed in the mode?
Those are 5th gen’s.
Unfortunately, and don’t want to clog a thread up. It’s already been well demonstrated that not all spall “liners” are cloth liners. You can similar results from metallurgic effects of different metals as backing plates. Which you wouldn’t be able to tell just looking at metal.
Offering a piece towards the spall liner bit, just so you’re aware, that’s all. They don’t have to just be cloth catch alls. Not to discuss it for or against spall liner argument. It’s neither here nor there for a thread like this and people are dug into their views either way. Just offering tidbit if you didn’t know it.
all of that has been done and gaijin doesn’t care. , but they sure as hell will give the T80B thermals, when it never had it.
In the F15 games i had, i just rush their ships with AGM-130s and 2000lb JDAMs and kill anyone who happens to come within my radar search pattern. That way i get my score AND ruin any chance for the enemy team to recover from the ticket loss.
for some reason i’ve bombed ships with the 2k bomb and they just absorb it most of the time.
When using Jdams always aim either for the front (hitting just below the first /second turret) or the rear for easy kills .
When hitting the rear even if you dont outright destroy the ship, the fire will .
The AGM-130 kinda targets the best spots on its own, so on light, even medium ships its a guaranteed kill per launch (10-15 km, however you can push it to 30 if you are fast enough)
just wish we could carry more than 2 130s
https://wt.controlnet.space/ Here you can see the win rates for all countries and all modes. For efficiency, you can check Thunderskill.
You don’t need to correct me that they are fifth-generation fighters, because according to past NATO standards, fighters like the F-14, F-15, and F-16 were considered third-generation, while the F-22 and F-35 are fourth-generation. The classification of fifth-generation fighters was first proposed by Russia, as they categorized aircraft with variable-sweep wings like the MiG-23 as third-generation. But we all know that they are essentially in the same generation as the MiG-21. Therefore, the Su-27 and MiG-29 became fourth-generation fighters, and the Su-57 is classified as a fifth-generation fighter. This classification system was later adopted by the United States for its F-22 and F-35, partly for strategic reasons in military sales. By positioning their aircraft as fifth-generation fighters, the U.S. ensured that potential buyers would not perceive Russian aircraft as more advanced, thereby maintaining a competitive edge in the global arms market.
You played yourself.
“Air sim is about score”
Meanwhile USA: earns the most score as they’ve has the longest standing best multi roles in the game.
So they got Kd and score? Well. Better make a 14.7 br bracket, and move all those USA planes up now.
lol didn’t know assists counted as kills now
Regarding the issue of NERA backing plates, the fact is that most countries’ composite armor designs take spalling into account. This isn’t some mysterious technology exclusive to Abrams armor. I do acknowledge that War Thunder hasn’t done a great job simulating the structure of composite armor or the repeated impact resistance of NERA. However, we all know that accurately simulating the penetration effects of a rod against armor would require an entire night of computer rendering. From a gaming perspective, the most GAIJIN can realistically do is differentiate the fragments produced.
Yeah that’s “fair”
Not really sure what is going on between 12.3 - 13.0 though, but wow everything else, I’ve never seen so many 100% winrates
You do realize you’re in SB subforum?
Su-27 should be better in one circle.
Well, it is…Hollywood said so.
In other news, GJ received the Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for game design.
“they use the manuals”
They rejected the Su-27SK manual as a valid source and insist on using T-10 prototype from 1982. But it was underperforming that as well so we finally got 0.54 Oswald.
They ignore (MiG-29) the manual or cheat (the manual only has armed configs so we’ll build the missile drag into its clean configuration).
Then reject the F-15 manual saying it overperforms, and the F-5 manual saying it overperforms.
The bug reports must be like sarrt.
Dont you have the Mig-23’s FM changes to complain about?
Man I did not know that almost 2578 F-104s crashed… oh wait they did not, 292 crashed with 116 pilot deaths in West German service because they were using an interceptor for ground strike missions, with results that are blatantly obvious as to why thats not what the plane was designed for. With a majority of the incidents of actual hull losses being due to pilot error, followed by engine failure. By comparison the JMSDF, USAF and numerous other users of the aircraft properly trained their pilots and used the aircraft in it’s designed role, finding that their loss rates were vastly lower. Reminder as well that the much lauded EEL of the Royal Airforce beats out the hull loss rate of the West German F-104, even though the EEL is considered a roaring success.
Hows top tier sim now?
I did not notice any significant difference. Still cannot play USSR planes properly.
Whatever side has France wins and teams that are mainly USA players are quitting a lot more than they used to. There is no longer 10 people waiting in queue to take a guys spot.
British Eurofighter mains are coping because they think Rafale is better because they die to it.
