Id say the difference between F-15C GE and EFT AESA is about the same as the difference between the F3 and the F-18A, maybe F-18C/Mig-29. And it wouldnt take much for the F3 to be 12.3 imo.
But that doesnt mean I cant fight well above my weight if needed (and I get a bit lucky)
its obviously closer to the 14.3 jets and if you think a .3 difference dosnt matter then why even argue so much against it, as you say it woundnt mean anything for the jets at 14.3
Just seems like the buch seems to always stop with whatever the US have. Like they are the yard-stick for what is and isnt balanced these days. If its stronger than what the US have at that BR, its OP. If its weaker than what the US have, oh well, never mind.
Just seems to be the standard everywhere.
Which comes back quite nicely to this thread being about ground and the US top tier MBTs.
Just because you can fire a Meteor further away, in game, it doesnt necessarily mean you want to. and the -120D probably is gunna be better at short range (like sub 10km) because it will be faster to target and probably pull a little better. And given the maps we’ve got. Meteor isnt going to be that significantly outranging anything. I think 120Ds LSZ is still about the average seperation we have top tier at the moment (Id guess 50-60km?)
The F-15GE is only a problem in your imagination it has legit trade offs vs other 14.3 jets and isnt simple better than they, are unlike at 14.7 were it would simple be worse in every way.
Way better FM, CM count and comparable/better RWR, it’s a light fighter vs heavy fighter, typical matchup. Just because it doesn’t match your play style doesn’t mean it’s not good
