Some of the Eurocanrds have better or equivalent ECM towed decoys built in and Britecloud (Which the F35 will be getting)

Yeah, so it wouldnt necessarily add much either.
APS sure, niche but useful.
Better armour, big “if” if it gets modeled, though imo, the Abrams survivability is just fine.
Better round again, entirely gaijins decision.
I dont think it would be this giant hail mary that some US mains think it would be (not against it, but I dont think it would do everything they think it would) and if it did come with better rounds, then so would everyone else. Challenger 3(P4) for example would be a major upgrade over the Challenger 2s at 12.7 whilst having a shell on par with A3/A4.
ALQ-260 is the BriteCloud
it tracked ballistic missiles from 800 miles away and was able to track, not just detect, tank guns firing on the ground. i dont think any other MAWS has shown that capability.
according to? the decoys are also internally carried for the 35, and they are more modern

The RAF planned upgrade to increase the CM load to 150 ish + BOL is gunna be awesome if it happens.

US buying Britecloud for the F-35? Its rare for the US to buy none US miltiary gear, so when they do, you know its really good

full 360 IRST/MAWS is pretty useful for SEAD, think of how far they can detect and pinpoint SAM launches that arent aimed at them, or even just detect them for the sake of passing on the information
they won because the competition was behind schedule (BriteCloud 55 already existed after all), but aside from that yes it does seem like a very promising system
Which again, just reinforces my point that the only thing the F-35 is actually good at is SEAD.
Though, a decent SAR system such as on the litening V or ECRS can be just as good at doing this. Heck CAPTOR-M was really good at doing this
idk if the litening V SAR is much good compared to an aircraft radar or dedicated SAR pod. those options all involve heavy radiation emissions which can compromise stealth and iirc SAR doesnt have excellent range

It would, i could replace my m1a2 and have 3 good abrams (in my opinion) and Its not only that, its that i want something new to grind and i think the sep v3 is just way cooler with the trophy system, now there is something the sep v3 can get but im pretty sure gajin will never add it cause of backlash from players.
Switchblade drones/loitering munitions, gajin coudl make it into a normal drone if they would ever think about adding it, heres a look on how much better the cheeks are protected

It could also get an m134 machine gun mounted on the loaders side:
They gotta add a step in between before they add a potential m1a2 sep v4 (i know it was cancelled) m1e3 or abrams X

Hmm… What do you mean? As in the Sep V3 would need to come first and then Challenger 3 would come with something else later?
Because imo, we need the Challenger 3(P4) to counter the M1A2 (the non-SEP one) :D

Yeah, but this is Gaijin we are talking about and a British MBT.
If its even remotely like the CR3TD, it will be pushing it at 12.7.
But we need something at 12.7 with a better shell than L27A1 which is actually the weakest round at 12.7

Would likely still have a 6 second reload, so slower than the Abrams and only marginally better pen
Whilst I think the CR3(P4) does have some mobility upgrades, it would still be similar in mobility to the CR2s
Its armour, god knows how it would actually compare, but probably not any better than the Leopard 2A7s at this time.

It would actually be fine at 12.7 at the moment and what is actually needed for that role.
But Gaijin being Gaijin, the ERA might do nothing, the Spall liners and blowout panels might be missing, they might consider the base armour weaker than the Challenger 2… There is a lot of unknowns with how they might model it
Eurofighter (UK AESA) versus US F-35:
Eurofighter:
- Better IR missile (ASRAAM)
- IRST optimized for air superiority due to placement above the nose
- Greater missile slinging capability due to flight model
- Greater dogfighting performance
- More countermeasures
- Better radar
- Longer ranged BVR missiles like Meteor while retaining access to AIM-120s
F-35:
- IRST capable of fully guiding in BVR missiles (due to laser)
- IRST utilizes laser that can provide compensation to radar if target is notching
- Fully stealth
- Spherical IRST coverage
- Greater missile count
If they fully modeled the Eurofighter’s capabilities, I could see it being able to tackle the Su-57 better than the F-35 could.

I knwo u weren’t specifically speaking abt me but I don’t believe that it will be a miracle i just want something new after being stuck with the same tank for so long even if it’s not that different.

Streetfighter ii modification is probably the coolest modification ever done to a tank in my opinion so i would be happy to see this come and i don’t play britain.
What i mean is that gajins plan is adding the sep v3 with trophy before they add the sep v4, they are probably doing this so they still har vehicles to add. And that’s probably also the reason they didn’t add trophy to the sep v2 cause then the sep v3 wouldn’t offer anything at all. I mean look at the merkava mk4m vs merkavma mk4 lic, aren’t they the same tank but the mk4m got trophy?
And for the challenger variants i don’t know much else than gajin modeling it completely wrong so im not gonna say anything on that, but if they need a new one the should get a new one.
Which sums up the point I was making quite nicely.
Take away the stealth or pit it against something also with stealth, what does it have left?
