Uptiers are becoming infuriating

Yep, almost every match, any BR, same brain dead players ruining ground then probably wondering why players move to air. Can people not learn the maps a bit and not all hide in pointless areas to let the enemy take over the whole map?

Almost any map and players do the same things, and usually end up getting steamed.

Air is the only way to at least get away from such poor gameplay, no wonder maps are getting smaller, dumber, more about “oo lets all line up 50m away and ignore the flanks and have a great time with lots of bangs and pops”!

Ground players deserve to get bombed to the hangar.

Agreed but I feel like that’s mostly happening on modern maps. Some older maps are good and offer flanking possibilities.
But yeah good luck playing heavy tanks with big weakspots nowadays …

And players choose to ignore most of it and just go one cap over and over regardless anyway, that is in part why we are here.

Tbh even older maps get the treatment of dumbing it down, when thinking about it there are for example no more maps where you could effectively utilize a glasscannon like the Nashorn. If you think about it Battlefield 2/3/4 had better maps for tank gameplay than WT itself.

True, with less and less sniping spots, light TDs and even medium ones are becoming useless.

That is probably due to the fact that there are less and less players capable of comprehending and executing tactics. Prime example for this would be ARB, once you had dogfights now you have a headon clash and the last 2-3 survivors with the two functioning braincells rubbing together dish it out between them. Same in GRB, if the hurr durr spawncamp rush with gokart doesnt work monkey leaves.

Even if they spawn new tanks they will keep rushing the caps like there is no enemy. Sometimes it is hard to see when there are only two tanks that are able to use the “A” and “D” Key to go right and left flanks …

What also needs to be mentioned is the extreme tech difference in BR´s. In ground its LRF, APFSDS and stabs an in the Air well lets say there is no fun flying a F4e/Mig21/23 against F-14´s, Mig-29´s and the sorts. By now i´ve started to simply leave in Air when i´m in a F4e and there is also a F-14 with me on the runway, there is simply no point in playing.

Unironically when I’m in a full downtier from 6.7 I suck. I do much better in partial uptiers to 7.0 and 7.3. It feels absurd, but it’s just like you said.

Air isn’t much better, most players from both sides fly straight from their airfield to the middle of the map and get into a massive furball.

Not to me. I’m kinda play more defensive and I’m more aware for enemies. That’s why I switched mainly to light tanks. Most the time it doesn’t matter if youre low or hightier. Scout and have fun seeing the enemy drop like flies. But this is not for everyone …

I mostly play heavies and tank destroyers, and the 6.7 German lineup has heavy tank destroyers, that’s why you’d logically expect it’d be easier to play in a full downtier, but when I see one I legit start sweating. Maybe it’s just a psychological thing, you feel the pressure more, more responsibility for the team, I dunno. But 7.0 and 7.3 are a lot more relaxing

lol 1… Like means about in that sentence. sooo… and 2… id argue its a bit more

kinda… disagree… youre almost right, but you have to keep in mind that if you take an m22 to like 6.0 or even higher, you can still get kills… You just have to rely on playing better and side shots

the things that get hit by up tiers the most/worst are Heavy tanks, especially heavy tanks with bad guns/rounds, because if you are in an up tier and their guns/rounds just… negate/nah your armor then… its gg and then your guns that are even weak for your BR are pretty useless

Well that’s what I said isn’t it ? Light tanks and fast mediums can always try to do something while tanks relying on heavy armour just serve as punching bags

sorta… but you basically left it too open to apply to too many tanks/vehicles. Most tanks can do well in full up tiers… you just have to adjust your play and not run in like an idiot

You’re right. How many players are capable to do this? I doubt that some even know how to fight enemy tanks. You know … things like that most tanks can only fire in one direction at once.
And here is what I miss a lot from some players … the will to learn and to adapt. Not to run 4 times direct to cap A,B,C or doing the D point joke …

yup… i get stuck with garbage players… Most games… its quite annoying… i gave up on winning, or caring about winning… i just try to play well (i usually am top 5 and have the most kills)

Winning is essential for me and I will fight, learn and adapt the best I can. What works for me is not driving the same lineup over and over again.

I think we all know why uptiers exist. It should encourage you to grind further to get to toptier or invest money to get there faster.
So what are the main problems of getting uptiered? Balance issues … 50/50 balance is boring and no challenge (some could argue that even this could be a challenge for some players).
In the end we all want a nice gaming experience with a chance to win and get some nice rewards from the battle.
That not everyone can be a winner is clear too. I’m a bit afraid that with every new tank that arrives balance goes more and more out the window …
Maybe we can find the chosen one who will bring balance to the game.

see. thats a bad idea… Winning is nice and i definitely try to win every game i play… but having it be “essential” is a recipe for disaster and frustration… Players are just… Very bad at the game… and a lot leave. I am constantly having to 3 vs 1 (or more) and then have to deal with planes…

lol star wars

I think the solution is US and our mindsets. Tanks can basically be good at any BR… (the m22 reference) so just realize if and when you are in an up tier and play accordingly. exmaple: cant pen them frontally? shoot out the barrel or mantlet… or get side/rear shots. of which there are… hundreds of ways to do this
