You are comparing two vehicles so I have showed what they are capable when fighting each other. Not to mention that even in this comparison, Jagpdanzer IV is worse.

Yes, JPZ4 is 0.3 BRs worse, and right now it sits 0.7BRs below.
Jagdpanzer IV has worse gun and armor, not to talk about mobility as I would need to check it.
It is fine at 4.3. If not, then M4A2 and KV-1E should go up.
Armor is similar, the only difference is the gun, which is marginal at best.
And I’m glad you agree that JPZ4, M4A2, and KV-1E need moved up.

It’s seems to me that any vehicle that stands out in any capacity is immediately branded as being overpowered (OP), as if to say that any vehcile that isn’t staggeringly mediocre must be reviewed and adjusted for balance.
I personally find the Jpz IV to be quite an effective tank and that the Hetzer is a great companion to it albeit it has a few more flaws.
Its obvious to me why people would be biased towards the Jpz IV, compared to all the rank II German vehicles, it has much greater protection at the front and is far more forgiving to the player than a Pz IV H, a Pz III M, or a Stug.
Comparitively, the Russian tech tree enjoys more protection prior to the Su-85 and SU-85Ms and have KV-1s with very sffective armour and T-34s with more effective armour than German medium tank contemporaries which could make the SU-85M armour seem lacklustre by comparison.

Thing is, there’s more than enough potential variety possible without facing vehicles that outclass your own in every way possible… we’ve got THOUSANDS of vehicles in War Thunder!
Not facing vehicles that render your own obsolete does not make “variety disappear”…

The first list of vehicles DOES include downtiers and uptiers- except sensible enough to degrees where they have roughly equivalent capabilities.
The second list of vehicles includes opponents it is currently forced to face on full uptiers but which should never face, because they outclass it in every or most ways without having any disadvantages at all.
I could make the exact same kind of lists for 10.7s, 5.7s, 9.3s, etc…
We could decompress the game by a quite large margin, allowing for more than enough variety every match, without rendering vehicles pointless and utterly outclassed because they are facing opponents they shouldn’t ever face.

Thank you !!! Because the other guy asked what vehicles and i tried to list them (also the ATGMs) and i got nerdrage and ignored him instead.
Imagine you did that for Tiger 2 and company, there are other “how many” examples in Ground, and another how many examples in Air.
