Updating the Tiger II (P) Model!

There is a small issue, the number of teeth on the tracks and drive wheels used in the model does not match.
image
The model uses Full-Lug Track, but the active wheel of the tiger2(p) using Full-Lug Track should look like this:

If such active wheels are used, the tracks should be Alternating-Male Track, like this:

Please fix it. There are currently two types of track models in the game, so this can be fixed by replacing the track model or redoing the active wheel model.

Lineup depth.

I second this. Since this is visual focused update, it better be worth it. Also War Thunder ingame footage is often used by other media, so historical accuracy goes a long way to ensure people are not misinformed, not to mention combating all the AI slop that is pulling tank models out of their…

Imho, not even then. This is my reasoning when it comes to 6.7.

I have the Sla and the regular Serienturm. By the time you reach the third spawn, the sp cost of a heavy is becoming pretty hefty. If I’m spawning a third heavy I would much rather use a backup on the Serienturm guys.

Do I want to use the long 88 anyway? The Ferdinand will give me more survivability and the Jagdpanther will give me more mobility (I added the latter to fill the slot vacated by the poor SPz).

Then in my 6.7 lineup I also have the PaK Puma and the Jagdpanzer 4-5 to deal with uptiers or certain specific maps. Finally the Jagdtiger and an Ostwind II to round it up.

All these vehicles excel at one thing at least. But the pre-production Tiger really doesn’t. I can’t conceive of a situation in which I would be better off spawning it than any other vehicle I’ve mentioned so far (other than obviously the SPAA). I would first have to die in everything else twice 😁

It’s good to have a glut, don’t get me wrong. But the sad reality for this Tiger is that since it went up in BR, I’ve never once spawned it, even after putting it in the lineup and telling myself I would totally use it.

Hey players, here’s a nice nerf on TIger II’s
2 days later.
There’s new remodel on your dead tigers, hope you enjoy

SPAA should be a priority spawn for 6.7 Germany, tbh. But you’re right about the P being not really worth using if you have the others unlocked.

I’m decent with SPAAs up until the 5.3 area, after that I start to struggle. I very rarely take them out at 6.7 because the skill of pilots and the performance of enemy CAS discourages me and I’d rather spawn in something that I can help the match in because I know how to use it. But I agree, it’s a need, all the more so with the mobility nerfs to the lineup and the crazy Yak 9 belt.

When I eventually learn to fly I’ll stick a couple planes in this lineup too.

To trash up the entire fighting interior with huge ass modules which will shut off entire tank after they been hit is “nicer looking” now?

Well said. Like Leopard 2’s and Abrams, full of stuff which disables the whole tank when a single spall fragment hits it.

I find it weird seeing the community crying about modules disabling the tank too fast, while that same community voted against APHE nerfs that would make tanks be more survivable.

Makes no sense.

People just don’t want the tank can not do anything, compared to this they may just want to die immediately

Bro, this is a vehicle with a ridiculous frontal weakspot - which cannot be hidden without also disengaging from a fight since it’s the turret - and first stage ammo sitting right behind it. It’s also too slow to reliably get into meta positions early on. You could remake the interior of the tank to be cardboard and its survivability will not worsen. Do you really honestly think this additional module is going to make a difference when your survivability from a turret shot is 0% to begin with?

Just enjoy the bling of the new model and play it for roleplay purposes. If you wanna be competitive you would be spawning in something else anyway, module or no module.

i would rather cry and moan about something more meaningful - like ammo detonations being actually RNG
