Being a heavy? In a match where your heavy armor doesn’t matter is a problem? Ya don’t say.
It’s a compression problem, not a Tiger E1 or even a Germany problem.
Imagine being the Jumbo where the gun that doesn’t care about your armor in any way is .3 BR above you.
(Or that amazing feeling of fighting the IS-3 or Ru 251 in a Jumbo…)
You literally came in here to complain about your armor being invalidated like it’s something special for you…
Then post a meme about double standards, but they’re special for you- like nobody else has to fight next era vehicles.
T-32 Heavy was built a year after the Tiger 2 and uses the same tech with an arguably worse gun and better frontal armor, and somehow it’s 7.3…
It gets to fight Leopards and M48s.
(And it’s only recent that Tigers & Panthers are no longer clubbing 4.7s…)
I never complained about the armour my main point of this discussion is this community double standards and hypocrisy towards the Germans the meme i made isn’t about the armour it’s about the community when german complain it’s skill issue when other complain everyone back them up
They are since gaijin depicted cupola thicknesses as incorrectly too thin on a majority of German tanks (Pz III E / Pz IV C all the way up to Tiger II) in this game. I might make a detailed topic on this in the future but here is a teaser for the Tiger I which this game claims is 80 mm thick:
It faces very similar vehicles to before as most did go up with it. A few of the vehicles did not, possibly mainly some minor nations, providing a bit of space for these vehicles.
Heavy Tank No.6 is inferior and never had an issue with it, even though it now lost its same BR lineup now.
It becomes “totally useless” in the hands of the very inexperienced or inexperienced/badly focused teams. The big 3 will always “suffer” more due to the larger number of players rushing up with no thought.
Skipping all the lower BRs is biting the whole game in the bud.
Is this referring to AB or RB since OP has not explained?
This change made it so the Tiger 1E faces tanks that lolpen it at all angles much more frequently. So it really dont fuckin matters that some went up with it since thats aint the point.
I shot the side of a T34-85 and the 200gr aphe nonpenned on the fuel tank and made it yellow… this heavy tank is supposed to fight 6.3-6.7-7.0 all the time now practically.
Moreover, 3 Panthers are 6.0 now too. All are vastly superior to the Tiger, so there is no reason to bring it out. This is another braindead br change as in case of the IS-2, T-44…etc The whole br change update was a huge step back, re-compressing br’s
All heavy tanks cannot actually function as heavy tanks because the BR system generally stops them from facing equipment that they were designed to beat - the BR system “equalizes” everything to a BR where it s (more or less) the same as everything else at that level.
Such as? There is no feature in WT where penetration bails vehicles, so you are fine to be “penned”. What is hit and how it reacts is much more important, which you should know by now.
Yes it does, it means it can no longer bully as much as it did in the full downtier.
Happens to every tank versus every tank, this is not a nation issue you bring up. Every vehicle has the same BR position chance, this is not new.
Don’t if you cannot make it work. Others do fine. I never needed a Panther to do fine in full uptiers with the 6.
Yet it decompressed lower, quite obviously. So obvious I presume ignoring this is intentional.
Agreed. It was perfect there. Angling still mattered, and there were/are plenty of cannons at 4.0-4.7 range that are well capable of dealing with the Tiger’s frontal armor.
There were no problems with most of the tanks that got nerfed by br change in that update. It mostly just ruined a bunch of tanks.
Ah yes, 7.0’s. You not being uptiered to 7.0. You’re fighting some 7.0’s who got downtiered into your match. The highest you can go to is 6.7 which is when a 7.0 would get down tiered into
As I said, I think it’s perfectly fine at 6.0, and still a monster in full downtiers, but you shouldn’t invalidate or underestimate what 7.0 actually means at this point. Because the T29 is in a sweet spot right now, it’s being used way more frequently than before, and that does make it absolutely advisable to not spawn in a Tiger or a Panther on your first spawn in a full uptier. It’s a similar situation to what American 5.7 faces by meeting Tiger IIs in every full uptier because they’re also in a sweet spot after the BR changes.
When the production Tiger IIs inevitably become 7.0 and the T29 becomes 7.3, the calculus will change quite a bit. One more reason why Tiger E at 6.0 is fine, actually.
