Updated War Thunder forum

its unpleasent to read
all the old information, hundreds if not thousands of super detailed reports backed with multiple sources will be lost and all for a mix of twitter and reddit?

You could have told us about this change before?!

If gaijin really wants to keep this forum atleast backup the old one forever, theres too many sources in it that shouldnt be lost

lets delete the IL-2 and warthunder code from server and client which was developing for 15 years and ask how your senior developers feel

This is monumentally stupid, you have to spend more time on the forums than in the game to meet these just to get an essential, basic ability. Who’s going to want to use the forum with such draconian measures in place to punish anyone with a life?

Discourse’s entire selling point is a gimmick to screw any user who doesn’t spend 100% of their time on the forums .

Well, its a new start also for me. I had the same reaction when I joined for the First time in a Discourse engineer Forum.

There’s no chance of reverting back is there…? Like many of my compatriots, I’ve been a very active poster trying to bring out vehicles that are usually looked over and while they’re still in the “old forum” there gone. 4-5 years of over 100 suggestion posts, “reputation”, and content creation essentially gone. I don’t plan on supporting this forum and will not be on it at all unless my content is transferred over and this trust system is gone or we revert back to the old forum.

Oh don’t worry you can still edit even at tier 2…
But there is a daily limit and you can only edit things up to 30 days since you posted it…

Get to trust level 2 by…

  • Visiting at least 15 days, not sequentially
  • Casting at least 1 like
  • Receiving at least 1 like
  • Replying to at least 3 different topics
  • Entering at least 20 topics
  • Reading at least 100 posts
  • Spend a total of 60 minutes reading posts

Users at trust level 2 can…

  • Use the “Invite others to this topic” button for one-click onboarding of new users to participate in topics
  • Invite outside users to PMs making a group PM
  • Daily like, edit, and flag limits increased by 1.5×
  • Ignore other users
  • Edit their own posts for up to 30 days after posting

LOL

That’s one way to ensure that feedback never reaches the Devs…just make sure noone uses the Forum.

This is categorically insane and beyond logic. This forum is flawed, not easy to navigate, relying on a tagging system that only a few will use, a trust system that allows you to edit other’s posts(?) like wtf man.

Are those at least one-time requirements or do you have to meet these criteria regularly like for Level 3?

lel can’t even edit posts after 30 days anyhow

Completely unnecessary change. Old forum was much better than this laggy piece of crap. It’s not even user friendly

Most likely need to meet the criteria regularly

I can`t even post on RU forum because daily limit for “newbie”. Wtf is that? New user with 3k+ karma and 20k+ battles?

Seems like tier 2 is a one time thing that when you’ve reach it, you’re permanently tier 2 or above. Tier 3 however you can fall out of back to tier 2 if you’re not active enough which is complete bs

Trolls are going to exploit that feature

I’m sorry Stona_WT, but this forum is much more difficult to find things and even be able to work on it, I don’t see any simplicity in this new forum. and no one was warned about this change
