Updated War Thunder forum

What the heck?

This is as user unfriendly as it can go…

But having subsections worked much better, especially as most people are never going to be reliable at tagging even simple things.

Accessible as “read only” for a limited time before it gets completely erased from existance may as well be as good as it being non-accessible at all already, to be honest. Even worse when I read that it will eventually be completely removed. We’ve got dozens of thousands of topics on that Forum- suggestions, bug reports, and discussion threads of all kinds… and it’s all going to be gone?

Like, are there going to be a new type of moderator whose job is just to tag everything, am I on one of those “booru” sites now?

Nothing is deleted

But the question is, will it be? Are you really intent on destroying a decade of history in the name of progress? A dubious one at that?

We don’t want it like that,.
This new „Forum“ isn’t even close to the functionality of an actual Forum.
the implementation is weak and just a single joke. Why do you always have to ruin everything good ?

Give us the old Forum back, the actual Forum, not this piece of a Twitter / Reddit copy.

Yeah writing long detailed topics such as suggestions are completely pointless now. One mistake and you basically have to repost it to fix it.

Now we’re going to have to bounce between both the new and old forum to share information, source material, etc. that could help with bug reports, suggestions, historical context, and more. If anything this is going to severely hamper the community unless you guys plan on transferring a majority of the content over. If you make the community do it, you’re really just going to infuriate a community that’s already trying to cool off from the previous economic changes. Just because it’s not deleted yet doesn’t make things better.

LOL the User Interface is complete bollocks…there is no intuitive structure to it…not gonna use this forum anymore.

Ok it is just as broken as any just launched product.

I wasn’t really planning to play WT throughout the summer but I would definitely read what people are discussing about the game. Everything is everywhere and I just spent 5 minutes to figure out how to reply without quoting on my phone

On the Ru forum, they made a restriction on messages so that there is less dissatisfaction ╭( ͡°͡° ͜ʖ ͡°͡°)╮

This Forum have a Trust level System. To get Access to the possibility to edit your Posts you need to get a higher Trustlevel. You can do that by simply be active on the Forum.

What about the people who were already very active on the forum? Now we have to restart all of our material and progress?

An incredibly wack system TBH, like at lvl 3 of being active we can

  • Recategorize and rename topics
  • Access a secure category only visible to users at trust level 3 and higher
  • Have all their links followed (we remove automatic nofollow)
  • TL3 spam flags cast on TL0 user posts immediately hide the post
  • TL3 flags cast on TL0 user posts in sufficient diversity will auto-silence the user and hide all their posts
  • Make their own posts wiki (that is, editable by any TL1+ users)
  • Daily like, edit, and flag limits increased by 2×

Like damn, I surely can’t see people going on a power trip even with these small powers.

  • Of posts created in the last 100 days, must have read 25% (capped at 20k)

  • Must have received 20 likes, and given 30 likes.*

  • Must not have received more than 5 spam or offensive flags (with unique posts and unique users for each, confirmed by a moderator)

  • Must not have been suspended or silenced in the last 6 months

  • These likes must be across a minimum number of different users (1/5 the number), across a minimum number of different days (1/4 the number). Likes cannot be from PMs.
