I send stona into this with November 2022 xD
I like the new forum but it’s sad to see old posts not being moved over, since all suggestions will have to be reposted now
I dont think anyone likes the new Forum. Honestly its very hard to seeking squads and meet people on here now. I’ve designed websites and worked in IT as a software engineer for the past 23 years and this looks kinda poorly planned. I’m sure you worked hard on it but the color scheme is hard to read, layout is confusing, people can’t meet & greet very effectively. I think you should consider a rollback and consider hiring a better designer. Honestly your dev team is not batting a thousand currently anyway with all the negative press. So I’d suggest making small changes in the future. Don’t rock the boat.
If they’re trying to ruin the game completely, they’re on a good way. What happened over the last two years is plain ridiculous.
I think its more the case they forced it out of the door half baked, the way the suggestions section is currently being handled makes that quite clear, as it appears they lack the actual tools to do their job in the present state. This forum would have been better received if they had either done a concurrent launch like they did with their horrible new bug report site, or directly transferred all previous topics like they did in 2016.
The authors of the proposal are unlikely to do this, so this forum will be empty until the developers move all user work here
As someone who is embedded in the suggestion community, this change has kind of completely stalled alot of peoples urge to continue.
The fact that it needed to be changed in the first place is absurdity at its finest.
worst lookin forum ever
let’s go back ^__^
Depending on what you are doing for a living you might get confronted with application changes. I saw such changes often enough, usually you have 4 major reasons for application changes:
- Your contractual agreement has ended. Negotiations for a contract extension with the provider of the former applications were not successful.
- The replaced application had data integrity or data security risks which can’t be solved with reasonable time an monetary investment, so it is cheaper to buy a new one.
- Your other applications were much newer and in case you wanted to use or add information from or to the old one you needed to implement highly manual (and therefore expensive) workarounds.
- The new provider is insanely cheaper than the old one - even if he has less functions the cost savings outweight any negative user experiences.
Decide by yourself…
I would go with the latter, a quick google search shows that this entire forum is costing them like 300 bucks a month at most to licence, or literally nothing seeing as its already being used for enlisted.
Yes we can all agree. We loved the old forum. But please guys do not get so emotional, be rational and write a normal critic without getting unobjective, because right now we all said how we liked it and why but saying things like “this is a revenge for the review bombing” or other things is silly.
I preferred the old forum. I don’t like this one, but it does have some nice features. I think I’ll start using Reddit more.
It certainly seemed rash to make this change with little warning or community consultation, especially in light of recent WT related events.
Which means if true gaijin killed the forum over 249 bucks a month XD
Well given that all the recent “armed forces day” decals look like they were done by someone’s eight year old and they seem to have stopped paying anyone who can actually draw too, I’d say cutting corners on the forum seems pretty consistent. Money be tight.
for some reason, even if they sell a billion 50 buck premiums, based on the line ups i am fighting at basically any br with premuims that cost teh same as a triple A game.
You guys really deleted a whole forum with unlimited amount of useful information?
Literally Alexandria libary fire.
