I love how 99% of this post is people saying WHAT ARE YOU DING WITH CONSTANT BUFF of broken, aim bot SPPA? and you answer most irrelevant question nobody wants. just redicilous, say you guys wanna scrap this mode and we good, we wil leave and play something else. No problems. Like its becoming annoying this ignoring of feedback you get every single day from this community that actually likes Nuclear Escalation and wanna play it… I cant belive this is how you handle feedback, bro GTA6 will litterally kill this game.
Yeah, it works, although it was a bad idea to go there stock)
We have already provided a detailed answer on why SPAA behave as they do several times.
We have absolutely no plans for that. In fact, BVV laid out detailed plans for its further development just over a week ago: About Nuclear Escalation and the Bomber Damage Model by BVV_d
That’s not true or correct at all. The mode is heavily played and enjoyed by many. We are following all feedback on the mode and have answered almost every single major possible topic there is to discuss on it since its release.
I hope you understand I play NE mode, and I can tell you from my expiriance , playing in EU, last week and half I dint entered in any game thats from begining, not one, wating for 5 min, I play throughout whole day… even today when its Saturday Im having really hard time finding game. I play 13.3 rank.
regarding SPPA, how can them bieng super unrealistic good for anything? I understand your point and I agree gamemode should not be too easy, but also cant make SPPA have aim bot. there has to be some middle ground.
Guess I owe @Smin1080p_WT an apology for saying he was dodging the hard questions… he went in on that one like it kicked his dog…
Have you considered the possibility that people find your response unsatisfactory at best and at worst, disingenuous?Particularly this part:
Can you post a video in GRB where you or somebody else intercepting munitions in a M163 or Shilka at the rate they do in nuclear escalation? I’m sure the people complaining about CAS in GRB would love to learn your ways!
Are there any planes to adjust the interception rate in the future one RCS is modeled? the standard figures I see thrown around for missile interception by SAMS is ~60% meaning SOP is to fire 2 interceptors per incoming missile, I wont get into current conflicts, but more modern hypersonic maneuvering missiles have been getting 95+% at avoiding interceptors.
Even having the 2 shots to intercept would be massively helpful when trying to use HARMS.
damn. still having it on Vulkan
At this point if you are to make 50 changes and announce 2 , just don’t say anything… less writing, more slacking it’s ok.
I just can’t with GJ …it becomes boring after a point.
Ex. You probably nerfed close range SAM like 70% something… i danced pirouettes above it and the missile just evaded me!!!
IR missiles work better… i don’t know details, but i saw it both offensive and defensive.
However some times direct hits do… just some damage, not secure a kill. You may or may not kill something. I’ve noticed it in player SAMs and A-A missiles…
it’s basically like saying a gladiator can theoretically shoot down an EFT therefore gladiator BR should go up to top tier
You’ve got to be kidding me. That(what you quoted) is the most BS answer I’ve ever seen. M163s and ZSU-23-4s not have anywhere near rhat level of accuracy in any sense. For missiles it could almost make sense but the gun based systems can’t do that with an early radar that barely picks up planes past 2km ffs
Its not fun for it to be too easy I guess, but what also isn’t fun is having a superhuman 3-plane-stabilized-gaijin-bugged-laser-guided-radar assisted bot with more ammo than physically possible and for there to be ten billion of them. Rethink the difference between “not boring” and “fun”
It could probably do it with glide bombs and Walleyes and the like but not Active-booster missiles
I do agree it’s bullshit.
M163 with no search radar can somehow detect and intercept a looong since burnt out Kh-58U with no smoke trail launched over 50km away and we are supposed to believe this is plausible
Munitions with reduced RCS will be harder to intercept. That’s the primary purpose of RCS reduction being modelled.
Nothing about it is “disingenuous”. Its directly from the development team and sharing exactly why SPAA behave as they do.
Its entirely fine for people to hold an opinion on the response, but that’s entirely different from claiming nothing is ever responded too or answered, when it has been several times.
There was no claim that the AI ground units have the same interception rate as players. Its explained why within the post why they have been set this way for NE.
I do find it funny how you think the M163 VADS is actually about as capable of Anti-munition defence as CIWS
When the response is predicated on a opinion without much elaboration, that goes directly against player experience, yes I think it is fair to call that response disingenuous. Why can’t the difficulty primarily come from, say, dealing with player controlled interceptors?
In the original post, you bought up the fact that you can technically shoot down munitions in M163/Shilkas as a human player.Clearly, what players can or can not do was taken into consideration when deciding the AI’s capabilities. All I am saying is that the way M163s and Shilkas (and other AA at other BRs) currently act is both immersion breaking and unfun and you may as well
On second thought, are 1980s mobile AA systems capable of intercepting munitions at the rate and consistency of current spaas? Can somebody more knowledgeable please weigh in?
To put it simply, they can’t. Full stop. Last match i saw in the kills feel I-HAWK killed R-24R or the opposite i don’t know.
Guess what. Both can NOT do this.
If they’d just stick to “realistic” values we would be fine.
Unfortunately the game has become Ace Combat rip off with realistic flight models.
Like… please explain me how a BMP-2 can shoot a jet crossing with 1+ mach , without even having a radar.
Quality work right there!
That’s what we pay for!!
Difficulty = unrealistic behaviour of SPPA. Oke gotcha
Well, if we want to be accurate is not that simple as i say " they can not" .
If it’s 1 bomb , they pretty much might be able to intercept it on time.
A Mk82 has RCs like a small bird… It needs time to filter it out of crowded sky.
Now if you throw 12 of them , and there are other planes and they toss bombs missiles etc.
the radar should get saturated and the SPAA/SAM will be inaccurate .
Imagine i tossed 8 and there were other planes doing things etc. and the ammunition just got shot down.
That shouldn’t be the case.
The BMP for example without radar, shouldn’t be able to “track” and kill a plane going 1+ mach on the deck…If i was a heli at 200km/h , maybe… assuming the gunner is top and still is very difficult without radar.
