Update 2.57.1.70 (Battle Rating changes implemented)

from my experience in Shermans across the board, as well as the long gunner Pz.4s, they all around feel the same, as when i started i main’d the US there was no change of playstyle, and even now, i’ve played, and fully modified, every Sherman in WT (excluding the Russian M4A2 76, German M4A2 75, Chinese premium M4A4, i have played the calliope but i don’t own it hell if i remember correctly, in one of if not the first match got 12 kills with the Pz.4 although that was a while ago, also, you specifically pointed out the Pz.4J, something i purposefully excluded in my comment due to lack of powered turret traverse, however it has a much larger games played pool, that would be closer to the M10, of which development started as an idea to put the 3 inch anti aircraft navel gun into a Sherman

I’m glad I didn’t bother leaving a comment on the original BR change page, especially now that every modes players has finally been subjected to the devs skipping over all feedback (typical Tuesday for NF players).

(NF wise:)

(RB wise):

I’m generally surprised & shocked that the devs last minute decided to take out every jet bomber / fighter equipped with high capacity bombs, further crippling any antishipping abilities of most nations further for above 6.3 BR.

Such a change should’ve been put forwards earlier so a vote could be made over just changing all of it, now it’s only the Americans, Soviets, Germany & Britain that can reliable bring high capacity bombs into battle, mostly with these:

• B-29

• B-52H

• A2D

• Washington

• Lancaster

• Mosquito

• Ju 288

• Ju 188

• Me 264

• Be-6

• Tu-95M

•Tu-4

All of which are fast or carry multiple HC bombs or a large bomb load.

Meanwhile the lost of the two Canberra B, the two US Canberra B, the three IL-28’s, Yak-28 & the Tu-14T. All of which is the devs taking the piss… especially the Tu-14T which only just got a parachute torpedo to bring along with its torpedo it already had (the only torpedo bomber jet & we can’t use it).

Sure most carried HC bombs especially the Canberra B Mk. 2 with two 4000lb HC Blockbuster bombs, yet most only had one bomb or four to six 1000lb bombs (eight for the B-57B), their speed is equally to what can still be brought into the mode, the B-52H still carries more bombs of similar type to the B-57B at the same speeds basically.

Now comes their counters, ohh look a +50000 tonne ship bristling with AA guns, those guns ain’t there for show or for just letting AI’s use them (especially after range nerfs), use them to swathe out aircraft no matter their speeds. Or bring up any DDAA or CLAA to defend others with, especially if they’re radar guided & the enemy is coming straight for you & finally SAM armed ships, four nations have 10.0/11.0 GF equivalent missiles down at 4.0-5.3 BR, of whuch rarely fight jets but are enough to down those in game.

If a player is complaining about jet bombers, they’re usually the ones not moving & stationary, have the awareness skills of a pigeon & don’t bother going evasive with a quick turn or just don’t bother to use AA they’ve got.

(AB wise):

If they’re such a problem, then increase reload times or remove aerial reloads from NF all together from the mode (since the devs love ruining AB the most, this should be right up their alley), dodging should logically be far easier in that mode due to the speed boost vessels get.

(Guided munitions):

Ohh boy, when I heard the Yak-130 was in NF, I kinda hoped it mean other nations might get their aircraft BR’s reduced for the mode, as hell like I said already WWII aircraft are basically subjected to 10.0/11.0 equivalent GF SAM batteries, surely if those are brought up in BR to match these GBU armed aircraft, it would be fine, yet no they’ve increase that things BR as well. Most drop ranges are well within AI AA range, most missiles outrange the KAB-500Kr by ten kilometres & the bombs themselves are just 500kg bombs which already damage ships at most or sink them depending on crew health.

(Let alone just recently the devs have been tinkering with AI controlled CIWS, surely that’ll aid fighting such munitions. Heh just saw a Project 1331M corvette down four RIM-24A from a Charles F. Adams class back to back).

Meanwhile the community has no problems with WWII guided munitions, sure you still gotta control them but they’re effective at all BR’s & one of them outranges all WWII era AA by ten fold as seen by the Ki-148 which is devastating at BR 3.3 NF especially in AB since you get reloads.

So that’s fun, the TT E50 type Frigate Le Brestois F762 went down in BR, nice finally at the same BR as its sistership & not chance of fighting 5.3 ships anymore… Yet… the fire directors are still bugged with thr ones meant for the 57 mm used now for the 100 mm & the whole reason the m/50 rocket assisted depth charge launcher was landed was for the fire director for the 100 mm, yet unfortunately that bug report goes nowhere thanks to the illiterate nation of one mod screwing up Grantaire’s bug report… PS, the same fire directors are on Jean Bart & an only control the 152 mm cannons not the 57 mm somehow even through the 152 mm are controlled by heavier mast fiee directors & also the 100 mm HA HAA guns have no fire directors yet somehow get solutions fir their HE-DF Shells…

Also why did the Marne class Sloops go back down in BR after they were increased to 3.3 some months ago??? Meanwhile you left the god awful terrible & useless Élan class Sloop at BR 3.3 instead, that thing could be BR 2.3 & still be 100% horrible…

(GF wise):

Hmm so PGZ09 goes to 9.3, huh, no biggy at all tbh yet I’ve seen people complaining about that yet the thing is perfectly suited for AA duties well above its own BR, especially for downing incoming munitions.

Yet this now runs the question, why use the PGZ04A? been using it finally & it’s quite terrible, I’m surprised the devs didn’t change the placement around finally & reduced the latter SPAAG down to 9.0, afterall the former is a 2009 system while the latter is a improved 1995 system from 2004 & those missiles are piss, sure it can secure some nasty kills but a flare says screw you & they can’t even hit a micro drone even after you get tone on it.

What logic was the M41D going up??? I actually want an answer to this.

They could give the f14B the aim54c+ since it was cleared to use them

There are actually a few good choices. I just hope they don’t mess up this opportunity.

Community Predictions for Future Premium Aircraft

Tranche 1 eurofighter would be an interesting one while not losing something too special to the wallet warrior line.

Id rather the premium hornets be the highest premiums as top tier is already really bad without a flood of premium noobs

You know, instead of adding completely new premiums, Gaijin could rework some of the existing F/A-18s so they’re all Fox-3-capable aircraft. They’ve done this with premium vehicles in the past, but they do love their money, so I’m not sure how willing they’d be to do it here.

I do mention this at the bottom of the post, but some weird dude got really mad at me and started harassing me over it before. Just be careful that the same thing doesn’t happen to you when discussing it.

IDK where else to ask, but why dont us World wide players get atleast the decals and skins? cos i wanna have a golden yamato that everyone can see, and also fill out my japanese decal list even more…

this is a sad month for japanese mains

Not just a month

Type 90 BR change was deserved tho.

well if they didnt add turret baskets bull crap to japan then the BR chance would have made sense, then they added that and made it almost impossible to play

Will change nothing because it’s the exact same as the AIM-54C in-game

The III/IV is fake because the hybrid they built IRL used a IB hull

The WT wiki itself acknowledges that

Hmm…

I think it’s not the nerfs the issue, but the overall level of toptier that is evolving… Like the reload rate of almost every nation getting buffed in the past 2 years, going from around6-6.5s to 5-5.5s.

Talking about load out restrictions. So if what your saying is true than it’s more of a reason to give the f14B aim54c+ so it wouldn’t be load out restricted

why are the z-19 and z-19E uptiered to 11.7 with less missiles and worse missiles than all of the apaches while still maintaining a higher BR.

Because people keep crying about TY-90s

Funny, you just confirmed that the gepard is good where it is

Welcome to the hell leopards and abrams where stuck in, alone since a good while

Missing the MG port is accurate. The vehicle still survives today (they put the original turret back on). What’s inaccurate is that it’s modelled as a single continuous plate. I couldn’t tell the thickness of this cover, or even if this cover is simply a flimsy piece of structural grade steel, but it should be modelled as a weak spot.

The other inaccuracy is the fact Gaijin made it a Sherman IV when it should be a IB. Which means it has the same speed and HP as the M4A1 and M4. Those would be decent nerfs.

Funnily enough, this has already been reported and dismissed at least twice lol

Sweden never had a Sherman IV in the first place
Apparently these pics are of the hybrid Sherman they tested in Sweden and the number on the back of the hull identifies it as a IB hull
(The MG port hadn’t been blanked when those pics where taken)
