Update 2.55.1.42

Nuclear Thunder

  • The matchmaking algorithm has been adjusted to lower the queue times. The priority of long-queuing players has been increased in all game modes.
  • Mission point rewards for damaging and destroying air and ground targets have been balanced. Rewards for air targets have been reduced, while those for ground targets have been increased.
  • The team’s central frontline airfields have been moved further from the front line. The side frontline airfields have been moved closer to the central airfield. The positions of surrounding air defense missile systems, strongpoints, and tactical assembly areas have been adjusted.
  • The respawn time for anti-aircraft guns covering warehouses and SAM sites has been increased from 8 to 12 minutes.
  • Warehouse repair time has been increased from 5 to 10 minutes.
  • The spawn point cost of 5kt and 30kt nuclear bombs has been increased from 250 and 500 to 300 and 600 spawn points respectively.
  • The team point requirements for entering the first and second escalation stages has been increased from 1000 and 5000 points to 1500 and 6000 points respectively.
  • Team points have been reduced from 16,000 to 15,000 to prevent sessions from dragging on too much, in instances where 1Mt+ nukes were not dropped after a very long time.
  • A bug that made it impossible for the player to respawn on other airfields if they had left the aircraft on an airfield that was subsequently destroyed has been fixed. (Report).
  • A bug that caused client replays to end before the end of the battle has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused the deployment and hit effects of the cluster warheads of tactical ballistic missiles to not display properly has been fixed.
  • Tu-95M — a bug that caused the aircraft engines’ thermal signature to be too high has been fixed.

Aircraft

  • A bug that caused the threat names to be missing from RWR displays of RWRs capable of identifying the radars has been fixed. (Report).
  • F-15E — the modification required to unlock the EGBU-24 bombs has been corrected from LJDAM to LGBU.
  • Wasp HAS.Mk.1 — a bug where one of the gear struts broke immediately when spawning in, causing the main rotor to break, making take off impossible has been fixed. (Report).

Locations and Missions

  • Carpathians — a bug that caused ground vehicles to be hidden behind lower-LOD model textures of ground vehicles when in aircraft in some places on the location has been fixed.
  • Middle East — a position on the edge of the battle area in grid square A4 has been blocked off.

Graphics

  • A bug that caused performance drops after several switches between the cockpit and third person view in aircraft with DirectX 12 enabled has been fixed. (Report).

Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.

cos AA is made like console players , and those got autotrack what goes trough trees and mountains. Just like in GRB :D

Excellent! Thank you

Wonderful!!!

VERY good change. I 100% agree with this. The nukes started flying much too early.

Another great change to go along with the increased SP cost per small and medium nuke 👍

Oh thank goodness, this was really aggravating, especially when it was a nuke that got lost 😭

This guy was hotter than the sun lmao, IR missile lock at 98km: Update 2.55.1.42 - #15 by Nowel

Thank you devs! Please do try and address the issue of SPAA’s tracking us through terrain and other impossible abilities that they have. Cheers!

Can we make it so SAMs are not effective at shooting down guided munitions? I had a SAM intercept an R-24T I shot at an ememy phantom from 5KM.

In no way shiuld SAMs be intercepting AAMs

I was wondering how I couldn’t flare or preflare any missile in it

before you can get the 5kt doing 2/3 kill, now you will have to do 3/4, while having a 5kt nuke and launching it on the enemy ground will give you almost the same amount of sp, so if u get killed u can’t respawn again, niceeeee :(
