It is genuinely impressive how much feedback has been ignored.
No 2S38, no J-7D, no changes to identical planes at a higher BR (11.3/11.7 Tornados), zero decompression, the Mig-21s went down despite everyone saying they shouldn’t, and so so many more.
No changes to the F-104s that have to deal with their broken FM.
No R2Y2 changes despite them being DOA at 8.0 in RB.
And no changes that actually help the game be better.
Where is decompression? What is our feedback really doing?
The R2Ys aren’t bad. They are just significantly overtiered after many nerfs and power creep from when they were implemented. When they went to 8.0, they had an air start and much more powerful guns. They also didn’t face afterburning 9.0 jets like the F4D.
Gaijin and long-lasting decompression are like sticking magnets together
It’s more difficult to do than it has any right to in the first place, and the instant it’s done they immediately start trying to resume status quo once you stop forcing them to be together
Did you just seriously compared the R2Y2 to one of the worst planes in acceleration, turning rate and climb in its BR to say that the R2Y2 isnt grabage(?
If I would say that I am disappointed by the changes, that would be an understatement. After over 2k replies on the thread asking about feedback, basically nothing has changed. A lot of things still remain in a completely broken spot or are straight up unplayable. Also a lot of requests about certain vehicles that are floating around since ages were again ignored and we havent hear anything about it.
A feedback on the feedback post would also have been greatly appreciated and would probably even have been necessary, especially looking at stuff like the M2K CS5 or F-16 changes. And basically no noteworthy GRB changes
Congratulations you have discovered compression a long standing issue that has been plaguing this game for as long as we have had a top tier. F-14 IRAF has just gone from one of the most notorious beneficiaries of this phenomenon to a victim of it, but even then I’d still much rather be stuck in an F-14 IRAF against 14.0s then stuck in any 11.7 aircraft against the F-14 IRAF. “It would suffer in an uptier so it’s fine for it to slaughter in a downtier” is a terrible mindset to have balance wise and is why we already have absolute nonsense like the F-104 which is completely untouchable even by the missiles it sees in downtier at 9.3, the MiG-15bis ISH a negligibly different version of the MiG-15bis which was already strong at 8.7 but now at 8.0, the F-5C staying at 10.3 for years where it completely abused everything below kt, the Wyvern one of the fastest props in the game and given an air spawn at just 4.3, the BI which needs no explanation, etc. etc.
Fakour-90 and Sedjeel are both sufficient to keep it competitive at 13.0, or at least as competitive as any other airframe stuck there. It was too strong for 12.7, and a “compensation buff” with R-73 is a paradoxical decision (if it’s too strong for 12.7 with current kit then it does not need better kit for 13.0) and is how you get “compensatory” ASRAAM and IRIS-T at 14.3 when the Typhoons are, hopefully, decompressed at some point.
Why was the 342M Gazelle moved to 9.7? To the same BR as the AH-1S and Mi-24s.
It literally just has 4 HOT-2 missiles. That’s the same loadout as one reload of the MEPHISTO at 8.7
