sure. but its as a reponds of no spall liners and declining winrates imo, and thats a lame excuse on gaijins part. i take what i can, it would be nice if other nations could get some reload buffs too. expecially because reload gets worse when loosing crew.

i tried to find anything about that. SEPs only real armour change is ITSA (Improved Turret Side Armor) from what i could find. pretty hard to find docs on still classified tech (as it should)
the squadron vehiecles are often played with Premium lineups, so i understand that, but really new players just buy the premium of the store or with GE, i.e OES, TURMS, 2A4 PrBat123, KVT, Clickbait, OES…
Honestly, im down to M1A2’s getting their historical reload, but the fact that in the same day they deny the proper reload on Leclerc because of 1(one) source against 10+2 videos, is just ridicolous.
Then why is Abrams given an unrealistic buff unrelated to its armour performance? Abrams is already one of the best MBTs and has great survivability. The issue of inaccuracy in armour protection is unrelated, this does not justify unrealistic buffs.
Other tanks have similarly huge protection bugs that have not been fixed, such as the huge unrealistic breech armour hole of ZTZ99A. And yet, the reload speed of ZTZ99A has not yet been increased to its realistic value (6-6.5s), despite it having the longest reload of 7.1s in top tier. I could go on about the issues of other nations.
You have early 2000s tanks with 1980s armor. You are aware the SEP packages were overhauls to improve armor, optics, and overall performance right? So why are we still sitting with improper armor values?
No one happy to have these improvements for the Abrams is saying other MBTs shouldn’t get improvements. Direct that pissy behavior at Gaijin. Keep fighting for it. We aren’t standing against you. Is it its astonishing 370mm KE hull? Its whole center of mass being a 50mm thick weakspot that leads to full crew death? The fact that its cheeks don’t even provide 60° protection because they are based off a downgraded trial export base A2 from the early 1990s? Or perhaps the lack of spall liners?
Truly an incredible tank. I totally have no reason to play Leopard 2A7V, Strv 122B+, Strv 122B PLSS, Strv 122A, Type 10, TKX, T-80BVM, T-90M or even Challenger 3TD instead.
I stopped playing the Leclercs when I discovered the Type 10s hahah.
Leclercs feel like Great Value Type 10s, honestly. At least it got a gun handling buff, but still.
If it got spall liners, SHARD and its 5 second reload, though… I would definitely go back to it, even more so if armor fixes came too, but we all know that won’t happen. XD
No amount of buffs will help the pool of shitter players that usa has accumilated, players that shouldn’t be in top tier in the first place. Get teamed with usa=lose
Not when tanks using extremely similar guns like German tanks do not get such an improvement. And realism is not maintained when every other tank does not get their realistic reloads.
You have early 2000s tanks with 1980s armor
It may be less powerful than it is in real life, but the gap is far larger with other nations.
Buffs for strong tanks should not be given when there are tanks that are much less strong, and underperforming as well. I’m not against Abrams getting such an improvement entirely. However, if improvements are only given to one nation at once, the balance is greatly upset. Abrams should only have gotten improvements when it is needed for balance, and it is definitely not needed currently, considering that Abram is very strong compared to many other top MBTs.
Said German tank, Leopard 2A7V, has TWICE as effective hull armor, significantly smaller weakspots, and stronger turret, too. Higher quality thermals and higher penetration, as well, if we are to count that.
The only- I repeat, ONLY saving grace SEPv2 currently has over 2A7V is its recently buffed rate of fire. Other than that, it’s worse in literally each and every single other way. It’s even heavier and slower because you can’t take off the TUSK.
I would rather have had SEPv2 and SEP have their armors fixed and SEPv2 receiving M829A3 than a rate of fire buff…
But since we got the rate of fire buff, it probably means Gaijin won’t be implementing any of the other fixes and balance changes regarding armor and munitions, so… I won’t frown upon the only and slight buff they gave instead.
The fact that Leclercs needs them too doesn’t change this being a completely different case either. As always, “two wrongs don’t make a right”.
So the focus should be on “why isn’t Leclerc getting fixed” instead of “why is the Abrams being improved”.
