Today’s patch brought us BR changes for the BMPT (expected), and for some reason the T-64B, making it go from 9.7 to 10.0. This change is unwarranted as the vehicle doesn’t provide any advantages over similar vehicles at its BR range. If the developers were compelled enough to raise its BR then it could’ve been a matter of the seasonal BR changes where the issue could be discussed and not a sudden “emergency nerf”.

What i dont understand is why move it to 10.0 aside from taking it from the 9.7 lineup. The only other vehicle at 10.0 is the 2S25M, which means that now the T-64B is going to be played as much as the Sprut: barely.
Someone playing at 9.7 isnt going to go up to 10.0 for 2 vehicles. Might as well just go all in and play 10.3 with an actual lineup instead. The BR system needs urgent deeper decompression, this only incentivises leaving behind lower tiers in favor of higher ones with more choices that share similar ratings, and its happening across all nation’s tech trees.

yeah they only did it after it got a lineup with the bmd-4s and khrizantema, now its suddenly too good and has to go up, despite barely improving in winrate (see statshark)

Did the T-72A also go up if? If not, then that’s just stupidity. The T-72 is better in every respect than the T-64B, which is already at 9.7, facing 10.7, which is simply crushing it, let alone now at 10.0…

It confuses me too, there was literally no reason to do this. It was probably one of the best balanced tanks at 9.7.

That’s just crew slot amount.
5 vehicle lineup of rather strong vehicles is all that’s needed, and BMD4M2 is obviously missing from the lineup cause it’s not unlocked.

Also, as a US player who has only ground at this BR… 90% of my BRs are bringing a few .3 or .7 lower BR vehicles in? Only exception is like… low tier or 7.3-8.3 where we have enough options for a complete line up - though 7.3 you’re still bringing in 6.7 or 7.0 tanks for scouting.
Literally stop complaining. You have a real MBT at 10.0, where as US doesn’t. We have the bradley, the m1128 and some other random junk for SPAA (not discounting how awesome the LAV AD is). No MBTs… at all. 9.7? Theres like… the xm8 we can buy for 100 bucks or whatever - and while I love the tank it’s being slaughtered by the BMPT spam right now. We could also fork out more money for the Merkava, or at 10.0 we could spend… what 300 bucks for the ambt? 100 something for the ccvl? The broken LOSAT?
get over it my guy. Grind US or Germany and complain less.
Edit, you could also attribute lower tier vehicles as “realism” since most countries maintain reserve vehicles that are previous generation or so. A good example is warno, regiments. Etc where you might opt to deploy reserve vehicles due to cost. They can still be effective, but more situational and you would certainly be more cautious in their use.
In this case, change your play style and stop blitzkrieging your way through the map. Russia gets a lot of hand holding in having the ability to rush and knife fight very well.

I agree here. The T-64B was busted at 9.7 and will still be strong even with a full 10.0 lineup.
Even in GAB it was a busted vehicle and will continue to be a strong option at 10.0 or even at 10.3

Who cares. USSR is super strong all around those BRs. If you get your T-64B uptiered to 10.3/10.7, all you’re doing is ensuring you’re going to win the match and have a great time. And you can still downtier to play with the chads who are dominating in Object279. Chin up, buttercups. Now you get to use the Sprut more often with its 3BM60.
