Unguided Rockets Need a Damage Buff Against Bases

Introduction
This has been an issue for a long time, and it’s finally time to talk about it. Unguided rockets (like HVARs, S-8s, R4Ms, etc.) are doing far too little damage against bases. Anyone who’s used rocket loadouts for ground attack knows how ineffective they currently feel, especially compared to even small bombs.

They’ve been ignored long enough — it’s time for proper balance.

Current Situation
Rockets deal very low damage to bases, even with direct hits.
Bombs remain far more effective and rewarding.
Aircraft that rely mainly on rockets are at a clear disadvantage in base-strike roles.
Suggested Improvements
Increase base damage per rocket by around 25–50%.
Different rockets should have different damage values – a large S-24 should hit much harder than a small HVAR.
Add a small splash damage radius to simulate realistic explosive force.
Realistic Background
Historically, unguided rockets were extremely destructive.
Examples:

HVAR (127 mm) – carried about 45 kg of explosives.
S-24 (240 mm) – equivalent to over 120 kg of TNT.
These were serious weapons used to destroy bunkers, vehicles, and even ships. Their current performance in-game doesn’t reflect that level of power at all.

Conclusion
A proper buff to unguided rocket damage would:

Make rocket loadouts finally worth using,
Reflect their real historical power,
Improve gameplay variety for attackers and strike aircraft.
It’s long overdue for unguided rockets to get the attention they deserve.

It was changed because it was being exploited massively and was insane.

They did more damage than bombs, without the added weight of bombs and rewarded a lot more because each rocket gave a tiny reward. Let alone the fact that unlike bombs. Rockets werent affected by diminishing returns (the more bombs you take, the less reward you get per bomb)

Sure, maybe they went a little too far the other way, but there is a reason its like how it is currently.

If you are thinking this is a bug, write a bug report.

Otherwise:
There is no need to change anything on the this system, because base bombing in ARB is useless anyway. A base bleeds 0-300 tickets. So if you kill ground targets with rockets it has way more impact.

Everything else is only egoistic gaining of personal ressources.

remember that this wasnt a bug, people grinded too fast with rockets so our fun was cut short (i grinded 4 jets just by doing that)

the reason your dumbass get rocket is so you attack vehicle collumn and emplacement. not bases. grind antimech warbond with that instead of base bombing with CAS kind of Attacker.

Oh no they do not need an damage increase, there was a short time bug which was he’ll we already can’t compete with F-4s event grinding with their rockets but now if you can do even more damage that is even more score because rockets give more score even that would make bases already unavailable to strike aircraft lol

Haha i remembered that some people went full rockets loadout in air sim and disabled the airfield real fast

Rockets were nerfed because they were being abused to bomb bases at higher efficiency versus carrying bombs… So no, not happening.

(Also? It won’t hurt to manually fact-check before deciding everything AI gives you is actually fact… some (or all? I cba to read past the 5th em dash) of it is outdated and/or you just don’t remember certain things already existing in-game)
