Majority of players dont squad - for various reasons.
So it just gives another advantage to the minority of players who do. Slow clap.

It’s their choice not to, and the auto-squad feature is enabled by default.
There’s only so much ‘blame’ that the game can take for player choice being the main problem they actually face.
slow clap yourself…
Well think about this. I have exactly the same experience from purchasing (or when reading the EULA… Renting the right to use the vehicle) that I could make a lot of easy kills. Almost all enemies I shot at was blown up in the first shot. That made me thinking … HOW do Gaijin control this ?.. is there a parameter which they can turn up and down for how easy I can kill an enemy ?`… YES there are !.. and I wonder, how they use / misuse this parameter for controlling the battles. First of all - When you join a battle, you join up for (example) BR 5.0 battle … but Gaijin match you against BR 6.0 enemies. YOU do not choose your team … that’s for Gaijin to decide … BUT you are measured by the team performance ? IF this was a soccer game … you would join up as 2. league … and had to play against 1. league … AND you would not know - who was on your team… before you started the match …
As you represent 1/16 of the team only, it cannot be YOU alone who are responsible for the battle losses … that must be the MM … or MF (Match Fixing which I call it). And WHY is that ?.. Think about matches like in a soccer league. You join up for at 2. league match and have to battle against 1. league teams. Secondly YOU do NOT choose your team … Gaijin does… BUT you are measured by your team performance ? … and you get awarded by this. Try to purchase a premium vehicle … and you will make a LOT of kills in the first 20-30 battle …but then the kill rate drops to normal. That hidden mechanism means, that Gaijin can and do control your kill-rate. How they do it … I’m not sure - BUT I have noticed, that what ever I shoot at (in a new purchased premium vehicle), I do not have to aim especially correct for killing an enemy. Think about this … and think… what other hidden mechanism is used for controlling the outcome of the battles. Now next start a Wager … and you will see, how fast your kill rate drops … and yet again you will see, how Gaijin is controlling your kills ratio. I made a lot of complaints about the Matchmaking system … and suddenly my kill rate dropped to one out of 10 battles won. How coincidently ! … It looks like Gaijin have changed a LOT of things in this game… and in the Forum … which previously was more a police station than actually a forum for helping and informing the players… which - for me, is something very positive. … BUT they have to change the MM/MF system … and to be honest about how this game is controlled … and/ or not … in the future.
My thought is that when Gaijin sets the matches…does individual skills/competence even really matter?
No. See they flip flop on what they say or consider matchmaking.
It used to be 4 things.
But then last month they said the only ONLY thing that matters is BR of the vehicle,
So I tested this… yup they lied. When I use my main Level 100 with level 60 Crews
OMFG~! You get aimbots and tryhards and almost everyone is a TTV!
So I switched to my new steam account, oh G willy GOSH Do I fight some toddlers in bouncy chairs.
Also you want to abuse the system? Read up on it, its Glaringly broken!

SUGGESTION FOR A MATCH MAKING SOLUTION:
The players makes a clean line-up’s for their BR level of vehicles… or the highest level represent the line-up. (as today)
The players then “Subscribe” for which BR level battles they want to fight in. … and wait for a battle to start.
The players can choose (example) US BR 5.0, German BR 4.7 and / or Russian BR 6.7. and then they wait for the battles to start. The player are getting informed that (example) BR 5.0 US is ready to launch and the player confirms his/ her participation.
Gaijin advertise where the most activities are and how many are waiting in the queue.
This way, it’s not Gaijin’s match making rules that controls the BR levels … but the players themselves.
But they’ll just pick and choose until they can get a BR that suits them…
This will end up the same as the map/mode/nation line up choosing that people do by bailing out at the start of matches…
No I don’t think so. It depends on how the system is made. IF you subscribe for (Example) 3 line-up’s (as a maximum) on BR. 3.7 italy, 4.7 Germany and 5.0 US… then Gaijin ad them to a queue and the first one which starts will be their next battle. ?
But if you have to confirm, then they’ll wait until they get something that favours them…
He he… well then you dont’ have to confirm … and problem solved.
Problem created… Because they’ll just keep avoiding the BRs they know they can’t function in… That’s what I’m pointing at…
This would then lead to shortages of players in certain nations that don’t have a strong lineup in that BR, and unbalanced matches in that same term.
Well - then you make it an option in the game to choose “fairness” battles :-)
… and where you can play max (x numbers of battles) each day in “fairness” battles. … OR you can make it a 50% / 50% solution where they have to play every 2. battles in the new “Fairness” battles. I’m starting a suggestion for a solution … and now you have to fine-tune the idea. :-)
Where’s this ‘fairness’ battles that you so coin here?
All I see is that someone with a 4.7 lineup will wait until they have a 4.7 battle, rather than stepping up to the 5.0, hence wasting the entire BR spread that is used in the matchmaking currently…
And it’s random for that reason… So people can’t and shouldn’t pick and choose.
I prefer waiting for a fair BR level battle without +/- BR spread… I HATE being bullied by someone on a BR+1 level higher then mine. … that’s not what I joined up for. I’m complaining about this almost every day … and to be constructive, I have been thinking about a solution for years… and this is my base-idea, which can be fine-tuned by you. Maybe a new way of thinking … but this is a start … and I’m sure that you guys can develop an even better solution.
All you’re doing is posing the +1.0 as if it happens ALL the time, which it doesn’t, and making out that EVERYONE is +1.0 from you, which also doesn’t happen.
You complaining about it every day is nothing to do with it either…
Also you changing your post after to make up the ‘fairness’ nonsense is nothing to do with it either, that’s just you moving goalposts to suit your argument…
For the BR level / vehicles, you could give each factor a value:
and then run a data-mining for making a fair BR level development so we can fight more equal battles. Of course each value has to be measured by some statistics from battles etc.
OK … I’m trying to be positive and constructive here and If you don’t like my ideas/suggestions, then It’s OK with me :-)
I’m sweet with it being the way it is… Whilst you will end up with a group jumping on board and supporting you, it doesn’t make the idea actually good or balanced… (After all, your ‘fairness’ battles were an afterthought, and obviously, displays that this wasn’t thought through at all)
Much of the actual method to fix this, is merely having people squad, but alas, no-one does… And that is a root cause of a LOT of players issues.
A very basic feature, that jack all players use, goes neglected in order to blame the teams, and matchmaking for the failures of those same players…
