I mean tbh I am truly clueless on Ukrainian, Belarusian and Baltic ground forces, but while I do understand the mass amount Ukraine has made let’s be honest, it’s not like it’ll have much of a different play style to the USSR tree, so I think rather than adding a whole new tree (that let’s be honest would be boring to grind through because it’s technically a USSR copy and paste with a few differences) I think if we add it as a new tech tree inside the USSR tree with I dunno 3 extra lines then we could potentially add, and it’ll give a better top tier lineup for the USSR so it can have more than 3 ground vehicles that are viable at 12.0; while France gets Benilux, Germany gets Switzerland, Britain gets India and Canada and ect.
I’d be careful with this thinking, just because it looks like a T-series doesn’t mean it’s the same. It would be like comparing the Iranian Zulfiqar-3 to the American Abrams in looks-wise:
For someone with an untrained eye or who has no experience with military vehicles, they could say the vehicles are the same.
Anyways, many Ukrainian tanks and vehicles have drastic changes that distance itself significantly from its Soviet legacy. An example of this would be the 120mm armed T-72-120 or Yatagan Tanks, turret bustle autoloaders, the automatic transmissions that allow high speeds in forward and reverse with high power ratios, indigenous missile systems, Western-style BTR’s (front mounted engines), unmanned turrets with every weapon you can throw on it I.e. grenade launchers, 30mm cannons, ATGM’s and more, custom ERA, even custom hard-kill APS (that’s in wide use in the Turkish Army) and more.
there are way too many unique vehicles for a sub tree to make sense
also its not like the examples you mentioned where many of the vehicles in the subtree are imported from other countries.
I dunno, that makes sense, i understand your point of view and I’ll keep that in mind; but I guess we’ll have to wait and see what Gaijin does.
Good point, but tbh I have no clue; y’know how confusing countries can get with their tanks and stuff, so I’ll keep what you’ve said in mind, but for now I guess we just need to wait for Gaijin to think of something i guess
🇺🇦 2S6M Tunguska - Modified
- This 2S6M features an updated EO/IR sight with thermal camera and laser rangefinder capabilities for improved tracking of contacts, especially at night. This vehicle is part of the 1020th OZRP.
An interesting modification of the T-64B1VK is the transporter rubber sheets on top of the ERA on the turret to protect against dropped charges and FPV.
Also ERA on the hull and turret seems to be mostly Nizh, judging by the shape of modules.

Where did you get them without blur?
Plot twist: He’s the photographer. Would be funny if true.
It absolutely would be
Ukrainian Lesson’s Learned Brief/Highlights of Nizh-1M ERA Effectiveness
- The PDF file can be found here. Good read, the pre-2022 brief discusses effectiveness of indigenous ERA and more.
Further discussion of the application of Nizh-1M ERA on vehicles such as the T-64BV zr. 2017, T-80BV zr. 2018, T-72AMT, and BMPT Strazh can be found under there respective Suggestions posted below:
- Additional note for the BMPT Strazh, the vehicle uses the same Nizh-1M ERA hull configuration as that found on the T-64BV zr. 2017.
- Several other vehicles utilize Nizh-1M ERA, a list of some can be seen below:
- T-64BV zr. 2017
- T-64BV zr. 2022
- T-64BVK zr. 2021
- T-64BM ‘Bulat’

- T-64BM1M
- BMP-64
- T-72AMT

Well I did a thing…
- Surprise! Had a lull in my life to knock this guy out. Here’s some notes on the post:
- Starts at Rank VI to match the Ukrainian Air Tree Suggestion.
- Meant to make the Object 477A1 ‘Nota’ BR 12.0, will change it later.
- All German/American vehicles are the Ukrainian variants i.e. loaded with Kontact-1 ERA, Nizh-1M ERA or Extra Armor and/or stripped of sensitive technologies from there respective nations.
- Tried to keep within the “No more than 3x vehicles per line in each Rank” unofficial rule.
- Tried to incorporate more unique Ukrainian variants of vehicles into the main tree.
- All vehicles with parenthesis in the title are because of either its operating nation or that it is equipped with a hard-kill APS.
- Didn’t include France or UK due to the oversaturation of nations. It’s definitely possible to see them though. May add them soon.
- Still a work in progress! I’ll get to it when I have a chance. I also plan on making a Polish Tree w/ Eastern Europe Sub-tree based on this Long-term Leak List (however, I will exclude Yugoslavia because including them is dumb, they have plenty of there own Yugoslavia Tree). If I do it, I’ll call upon The @Merkko for his aid on an Air Tree version (if he’s interested lol).
- Includes the following nations:
- Poland (Main Nation)
- Czech Republic (Sub-tree Nation)
- Slovakia (Sub-tree Nation)
- Ukraine (Sub-tree Nation)
- Bulgaria (Sub-tree Nation)
- Poland (Main Nation)
- Includes the following nations:
Lastly, the most important point…KEEP IT PEACEFUL AND RESPECTFUL, if you don’t like the idea maybe because you believe it’s copy and paste or something, no problem. That’s your opinion and that’s perfectly fine, just don’t be an *** about it. Same goes for those who don’t agree with said posts. It’s only about the vehicles, just enjoy it. It’s a lot of work. Thanks for your support!
Glad to see the document I accidently found being used here. I think I was looking into the history of the T-64BV zr. 2017 and stumbled upon this.
Yeah I’m glad you did find it, I broke further into the zr. 2017’s and similar vehicles ERA setup off the PPT and went and verified the Nizh-1M ERA usage just for reinforcing the difference with the vehicles. Nizh-1M is no joke.
Also just noticed on my updated tree the Marder 1A3 jumped in branch one. I’ll fix it later.
No way, Ukrainian Ground Forces TT V2 dropped before GTA VI (I thought I would never see it coming)
Still sadge that there is not enough unique Rank V for Ukrainian TT as I can’t imagine grinding/spading vehicles properly w/ Level 0 crew. It doesn’t look too hot given how it starts at Rank VI, making TT look way more original yet lacklusture in flesh when you compare it to other TTs (exept Israel of course).
Still nice to see this concept being updated. I’m all in for addition of TT, let it be independent or sub-tree (in some future Eastern Eurropean one or, if there are literally no options left, in USSR but the one according to the concept suggested on forum already). Would be a shame to see Ukrainian vehicles treated in a same way as Canadian & Australian.
I could start sooner at Rank IV or V but since the aircraft tree starts at Rank VI it doesn’t make sense for me to sadly start it before any viable aircraft would be added.
I’ve got a lot more work to do with it, there’s a lot more indigenous stuff to add but I put a focus on production vehicles. I mean the theoretically I could slam a ALOT of vehicles in including indigenous, French, British, and Swedish but we’ll see…Stay tuned 🫡
