TV guided weapons must have their SP cost put on par with IR weapons

It’s honestly sickening that TV guided weapons like the Walleye,Kh-29 and Kab-500Kr cost pennies compared to IR guided weapons and yet they have the same absurd strength.

“B-but they don’t work in night battles!” Night battles are optional first of all, second of all they are extremely rare so this problem is literally nonexistent.

“B-but they don’t work very well in bad weather” false they work as well, moreover clouds are client-side meaning the clouds you see are not always the clouds everyone sees.

Moreover, they must add an incremental multiplier based on the number of guided weapons you’re bringin,no matter the type. I saw two guys, one with the Mig-29KR and the other with the Su-30MKK turn the tide of the battle simply because they have access, respectively, to 4×Kh-29TD and 6×Kh-29TD+2×LD-10,meaning they can saturate the sky with weapons that,i repeat, cost pennies to them. In a full downtier, those two have less SP cost than a full uptier Harrier with 4 Mavericks, like c’mon you’re saying that the Harrier is stronger than a Su-30MKK or a Mig-29KR?

Why should 4 - 6km target locking weapons have the same SP cost as 14 - 15km target locking weapons?

Tunguska & ADATS is enough to deal with every platform that uses TV guided munitions, let alone the higher performance SPAA systems.

Roland 3 is enough for the slower platforms like A-4E.

There is a considerable performance difference between TV and IR guided weapon. Especially for aircraft that dont have a Tpod. There is a very good reason why IR guided weapons cost more.

The performance only stands in range difference, that’s it. And people do not care about the lack of a TGP since they can use the TV camera, pop out of the ground, launch a salvo of missile and instantly notch.

If someone does that,no SPAA outside of Top Tier ones can manage this volume of fire. They either need to catch those ordnance, letting the jet escape and ream,or they die trying to hit the enemy jet. It’s literally a no-brainer moveset that rewards passive and instant gameplay (since you need at maximum 2 kills to get a jet with TV weapons on) and you can farm tens of kills because of course with this strat you’re unkillable.

And guess what? 90% of players knows this and abuse this strat,so i repeat: why IR weapons are rewarded with good, active gameplay while TV weapons that have the only con being their limited (but still useful)range being rewarded with passive gameplay?

if they are so equal then why would people not like the agm65s on f16XL and want IR versions because obviously the TV ones are worse

Because people are too incapable of using weapons correctly, since the Mavericks B works really well and they expect them to behave like Kh-38MTs

If they use the strat I described,Mavericks-B become fantastic

even a capable person can’t use a incapable weapon like a sword to a gunfight can do some damage get some kills but someone on you team with a real guy will do better

If you’re saying that TV weapons are incapable of being used at 11.7+ then it means the countless times i see the kill-feed flooded with those weapons are mass hallucination events. Huh, didn’t know that.

I always love when players refuse to admit the truth, maybe because they’re biased and they love abusing something that must be addressed

answer this why do you think you can use early TV mavericks at 10.0-11.0 but at 12.0+ the game starts to let planes have more advanced IR mavericks I wonder

Because

  1. These advanced Mavericks are attached to planes that are advanced, meaning they can’t stay at a low BR…ever saw a Maverick D onto an A-4B?

  2. Because IR missiles have a baseline lock range that is on average between 15-20km and that helps with SPAA,but this doesn’t mean you can’t use different strats to let the SPAA be blind.

Picture this: a plane is flying below radar level, meaning no SPAA can see it. Once it is near their spawn,it prepares the TV camera and starts pitching the nose up. It shoots a couple of TV missiles to SPAAs that are now forced to intercept those while the jet runs away and do the same trick, this time on another angle.

You can do this even with Mavericks, but the difference is that IR missiles costs more and thus you need to be inside a tank longer to get those.

Tell me,is this fair that a singular player can force a team to quit because they are incapable of dealing with a jet doing this? For me it’s not fair at all,but if it’s fair for you then it means you might be biased

something called the console A button spam method buts a grey box around planes behind mountains even

6 mavericks that wont hit wont make anyone quit
your also taking the CLOSE CAS too seriously

You get significantly better range for tracking
You don’t get cucked by dark environments
rainy maps are a minor problem too, unlike with TV
And you get fake thermal pod with IR guided A2G munitions.

That’s a huge difference

Not disagreeing with the statement that some CAS vehicles with TV munitions should increase in SP costs (F-16A my beloved), but to the same level as IR guided stuff? No

Piece of advice, ignore GxneralEagle, he’s a bit of a doofus

To be fair, KH-38MTs shouldn’t work like KH-38MTs in game.

but also targets can move, and if launching them from far away, it won’t keep lock because of the limited lock range and will miss. that is why the TV seekers are lower than the IR ones.

Typing is all one needs

You have the Su-30MKK. Try the stat i said into a match with the Kh-29TE and tell me it doesn’t work

Baseline ranges for TV guided weapons stands at 12 km which is more than enough even at 11.7 since only the HQ-17 and the Pantsir can surpass 12km,IR weapons have a longer range but that is not this good unless for top tier engagements

My experience says otherwise

Say that to stuff like the 29T or the 500Kr since they track extremely well

TV munitions literally do not work at night.
They just can’t

Can you see in the dark? TV munitions can’t either.

Lock range is also really heavily affected in dusk/dawn environments.
I’ve had times where I couldn’t even get a point lock because it was dusk/dawn

Night battles that are completely optional and that are extremely rare.

On rainy/cloudy maps they work just fine

wtf am i reading

A Yak-130 launched a 500Kr onto me at its maximum range,on a dark map. Despite moving continuously, the bomb hit me regardless.

So no,try again.

Got a clip of it?
Otherwise this doesn’t mean much
