I’m just trying to keep it level so I’m not constantly pulling the stick back and fighting the plane while in optics
with MK or with Joystick all jets seem to nose down and event with trim at 100% it still noses down unless you pull back to keep it level. Still trying to figure this out myself
damn, doesn’t the A-10 have automatic levelling IRL? I love the simplicity of mouse aim but not the bullshittery that is ARB, and I struggle with flying with sim controls but love the nature of ASB
if you go to real controlls and set the button for toggle SAS mode you will get dampening, auto level, and manual. I typically fly with dampening, i try auto level but doesnt seem to work.
A-10 doesn’t have auto leveling (not sure if thts true IRL as well…).
Also, as I experience it, any trimming is impossible if you have SAS enabled, right?
That im not sure of. i think you can but i could be mistaken.
I find that auto-levelling takes a bit of time to figure itself out, but I use damping for the A-10
I definitely know it has autopilot and a quick dive into DCS reveals this (at least for the A-10C and that didn’t actually have auto-levelling on the dev so…)
“There are 3 modes. Path, Alt/Hdg and Hdg. Path will keep your vertical path but wings must be level. Alt/Hdg is for straight and level and Alt you can Bank the aircraft ant way you’d like and it’ll happily fly you around in circles. The aircraft must be properly trimmed in order to activate each mode. You’ll hear a bing when it engages.”
This is not DCS and you can not compare this game to that. A lot of the modern planes do not have everything modeled like they do in DCS. War thunder is more of arcade style than a full blown simulator. This could change down the road though as they are constantly doing development.
I’m not comparing it, I’m just saying it does have an auto pilot, which would make war thunder more arcade-y…
no need to get your knickers in a twist lol
Yes, that’s the problem !!! IF the plane doesn’t maintain attitude, the trim should still work
