Ahh yes, the “i’m a noob that files in a straight line to bases and everything that kills me is OP” post. I have not seen so much crying about the F-14 even after they were added to the game. With the update there was only one thing that changed the had any effect. That was lowering the multipathing by 40 meters that everyone was complaining about for radar missiles not working properly. Now its people who want the missile out of the game because they cant base bomb as efficiently and they cant cope.
In celebration of the upcoming 54th anniversary of the first live fire test i will do nothing but play the f-14 with a full set of aim-54’s. I will also have the top gun soundtrack on loop while i wait for the tears to flow like niagara falls
Premium bombers just want bases. Yes he had 6 Aim-54’s shot at him but he could have dodged all of them, but all he wants is the base. Aim-54 is the problem? No its people who just want to base bomb and upset that they cant get there bases. This is why you always see F-4’s being killed early in the matches, along with the other planes that just want to base bomb or other premium planes as 98% of all phoenix kills are these kills.
What’s absolutely hilarious with F-14 apologist like you is that the F-14 are the ONLY planes you do well in. It’s quite obvious you’re absolutely carried by them, because they’re far better planes than anything else at their BR.
I know how to dodge the Phoenix, they’re still incredibly annoying to deal with. Both F-14 deserved a bump in BR ages ago.
How so ? In the current matchmaking, the A has no business fighting 11.0 and below planes without RWR and low CM counts (Mig23M, J35XS, F104 ASA etc.) and the B even less so.
Its global stats prove it. It’s absolutely overperforming. Not that it’s the only aircraft doing so mind you. The 2000C-S4 and S5 deserves 12.0BR and F15A deserved 12.7 since their introduction.
With the new BR spread, the 14A and 14B are 12.7 and 13.0 which is much better. I’d argue gaijin could slap 9M on the B and give it 13.3 even. Phoenix C are oppressive enough for that.
I can somewhat agree with that. However, lets not act like phoenixes are the best shit since sliced bread and like it’d be a competitive plane against the current 4.5 gen planes.
No i do well in other planes as well, its just the F-14 is the one i play the most since it helps grind out daily’s so it stand out the most.
No they they are on par with most planes in that BR when you get into dogfights, but they bleed energy when maneuvering so sustained dogfights are bad to get into but is still doable.

No not really. Until the multipathing was adjust and just a few weeks before you rarely had the f-14 coming out esp when the f-15 dropped. No one said anything about the f-14 and people just latched on to comlaine about the f-15. New patch more people pop into the f-14 again, instant crying on forum as base bombing is now harder. I dont care that they are increasing the br, because there are base bombers at every br and even at 13.0 the F-14 still out ranges everything in the game.
The Phoenix are grossly underestimated in this thread. Yes, they’re not the best thing ever. But they kill often enough (from total safety even) to be a threat. Saying “just notch bro” when you see players with a K/D of 3+ with the F-14 but below 1 in every other plane is extremely telling. The plane is oppressive.
Even the MLD at the height of its power didn’t match this.
Yes, it does hit idiots primarily. The game is composed of more than 50% idiots however, and when half your team melted due to Phoenix, suddenly it’s hard to do anything for the remaining not-idiot pilots having to fight 2v1 if not 4v1.
I have already proposed a brutal solution to the problem of bomb trucks. A pve mode where you will need to quickly bomb targets, and the only enemy for the F4 S will be landing on an aircraft carrier
make phoenixes 25g and give the 14b 9ms with the 14a getting 9ls and i support an uptier tbh, right now they’re just completely inferior to the planes above them. Even with the worse radar, they can at least SURVIVE if the phoenixes are 25g and they carry 9ms.
