Torpedo Boats just ruin Battleship battles

They drive around with inpunity will destroying everything.

They are impossible to hit when even moving slightly to the left or tight regularly and throw several torpedos who are all likely to be instakills. If not directly, then practicly do to the crippeling damage they cause.

Planes are useless, cause they just hide behind the AA screen of friendly battleships.
Any other smaller boats are eitehr to easy taregts for the battleships or have to get to close to enemy battleships to safely attack the other PT-boats.

Combine that with Battleships getting way to short of a warning to even attemnt getting out of the way, its just unfair sudden death from nothing.

Ammo Racke detonations need some skill and luck, bombers you can see coming and don´t have such deadly payloads. But Torpedos are just suddenly there, often in numbers and one of them just kills you.

This is beyond stupid. As long as gaijin doesn´t put effort into designing there gamemodes, i call for a BR limite downwards. You can´t bring anything 1 BR below the matches rating.

C’mon up to Naval Realistic my friend. No magical auto-reloading torpedo tubes.
Oh, and plane’s wings snap off when they try something they shouldn’t have.

I tried Arcade Naval… Wasn’t to my liking. Started playing R.N. and never looked back. Strange as that also happened with tanks when they came out. I do still play Arcade for planes though.

I played like 100 games in the sharn to finish the grind before bismark and never seen this happen to me, are you just sitting in spawn stationary? Are you going close to the coastal areas to go bully poor pt ships?

Having more than just battleships in a match at higher ranks makes it more interesting, wish they would do away with crappy circle maps entirely where there is no point in spawning anything but your best class of ship.

Coastal ships that venture out into open bluewater terrority are easy pickings for secondaries and i always saw them dying horribly if they did. And if you decide to bring your battleship into areas they have cover and can easily torp you thats your fault, if you want to contest those points thats the risk you take.

Coastal grind is already horrific enough, if they have no place in top tier naval than no one would ever touch them, moreso than they already dont. 320k rp for something you can only play at 5.0 matches…

Shimakaze is bad too. You’re forced to go on defensive and be distracted by looking for torpedos. Adding salt to the wound is the slow WW1 battleships that can barely turn even in arcade, and sped up torpedos.

You see this often with a shimakaze ending with 5 kills at top of leaderboard.

It’s a frustrating gameplay that makes everyone cater to them.

That’s the problem. Your ship goes 59kmh (RB speed?) according to the wiki. This is much faster than other earlier (in terms of era, not BR) ships. I assume faster ships also have more spare energy to turn, and are faster to accelerate.

Scharn is roughly 37k tons. One can imagine the fun when super heavy battleships, like the Yamato, weighting almost twice as much as the Scharn are added.

I wish this were true but it’s just not. Torpedo boats are MILES out of range of BBs and if they are able to get in close that’s your teams fault. It also takes a few torpedoes to drop a BB.
