I think a compromise is order, the player base clearly wants all the brimstone modes so give it to them. Or give players the opportunity to test these much like was done with Fox 3 missiles, if the in house testing was done let us all have a go too! At very least player get what they want and gajin can gather some data from the player base.
if not why not just lock the mode to game types?
Air Sim - all three modes
Air realistic - all three modes
Custom Battle - mode 1
Ground RB - mode 1
Brimstone current has a serious problem that Average speed far to low,GR4 can even arrive at the target before it without the afterburner once Brimstone is fired over 6KM or less.
i have seen a report on this,so i want to know what’s the developers on this .
thanks
Honestly at this point we are beating a dead horse. The brimstone is DOA due to how gaijin chose to implement it.
Half the reason behind the nerf is purely hypocritical.
And the other weapons on the GR4 are either not good enough to warrant 12.3 or are already present on the GR1. The only way the GR4 is relevant at 12.3 over the Harrier is if (big if) Gaijin gives it the IR seeker PGMs. But well, that report was approved months ago and still nothing.
The Paveway IV is good by laser guided bomb standards but equivalent bombs exist down at 10.3 and while the EGBU-24 is actually very good… you only get 1-
So british mains stick to the harrier. I for one will grind the fullback and enjoy an aircraft that
But he consistently ignores people’s uncomfortable questions. For example, I asked him about the Kh-38 – no reaction at all. Currently, a video about the Brimstone’s flight speed is circulating in public channels; he was asked about this above as well – and he remained silent.
These are important topics that interest the community. Why does the community manager ignore the community’s questions?
He might not have responded to your post but the Kh-38 has been brought up almost constantly in this thread and Smin has responded (as he has in other threads). The response might not be one you’re happy with but asking again isn’t going to change the answer, it’s fine if he doesn’t want to keep repeating himself.
How about Gaijin uses its love of an easy asset flip and makes the Brimstones a Spike ripoff?
Yes IR guidance isnt part of the Brimstone guidance package. It would, however, bring the Brimstone much closer to what it is in real life while remaining counterable within the current confines of the game
Because Brimstone can be used with either direct line of sight with laser + mmV or just the mmV without direct line of sight. In either mode, it’s FnF. No one is expecting the latter but the former would give the Brimstone no more fire power than any other agm in game. In fact it would still have less range and punch than existing FnF AGMs
Gaijins decision to limit it to laser only turns the Brimstone from one of the better AGMs at top tier into one of the worst. Especially with the compression at top tier, the Gr4 will struggle just because it’s a ground attacker with limited self defence. Let alone when loadout is considered.
It’s also frustrating that theyve done very little to augment the GR4s loadout knowing full well the community reaction would be…like adding storm Shadow, ALARM or even just better version of the PGMs that were reported months ago
I don’t agree with that entirely, but I think they should just remove IR seekers as well. Limit the su34 for example to only the laser guided variant of the kh38
I mean it’s a historical implementation currently, it sucks we cant get the SAL+mmW mode yet but IIR has already been rejected a dozen times so asking for it again won’t make a difference.
Dont entirely agree with that either, but I do agree that the implementation of a 20+KM missile with IOG and a thermal imaging seeker makes a lot of other contentious additions less contentious overall
implying Gaijin ever gave a dooky about historical reasoning when the Yak-141 and F-16AJ exist in game, or the load of hypothetical/never used loadouts in game
