Gr.4 is still a direct upgrade to our GR 1 in all regards, it’s definitely nice to have even if brimstones aren’t getting fire and forget. If they would remove the artificial 20km range limiter of it, it’s still a perfectly nice weapon system.
Other than that the platform is a direct upgrade to the Gr .1, more thrust, better weapons, HMD (even if that will mean it will get a air RB br that is an utter joke)
Pantsir isnt correct?
Or what
Sure… unable to justify pantsir isnt enough, at least on current brimstone carriers
Kind of sad to see. Seems like worse option, now Russian players lose out on a new tool, and Brits still lose out on a competitive weapon. I would think letting Britain have the mode 2 fire and forget, and also letting Russian players have the Grom would make everyone happy. Well, I hope Grom 2 is fun at least.
Grom-1 and Brimstone are entirely different weapon systems and any decisions between the two are not connected or related.
Fair enough, seemed like it was since it was posted in this thread. I assumed it was due to the assymetry in performance of the weapons.
I’ve provided my argument back that the battery is likely not the limiting factor, but the developer is correct here. The door was left open for indirect proof so I have provided it.
So KH-38 are balanced?
outrange any AA (even pantsir) check.
Fast and hard to intercept to SPAA without TWS (which only two SPAA in the game has it) check.
FnF check
Because of right nation
If you’re removing a weapon that has already appeared in Dev and Teaser trailers, you should consider how the player feels and ask for their suggestions, rather than making random changes to it.
Could it be possible for the Devs to change there minds and add a placeholder f&f mode for brimstone from something like spike just temporarily until it could eventually receive its irl f&f mode ??
Maybe you think that the radar lock mode of the Brimstone missile upsets the balance, I can understand it, but there is no reason for the deletion of the Grom-1 missile, and I cannot accept it,You should give the player a valid reason to remove Grom-1
We are always clear that everything shown is subject to change on dev. Nothing should ever be considered final.
You should state a reasonable reason for removing it
I would like to ask everybody, more so as a general request rather than a warning, to please respect the staff members. We’re here to clarify doubts and answer your questions (when possible, of course).
Keep in mind that there was a massive amount of work behind the introduction of this vehicle and thanks to @Gunjob’s work, and many others’, it is here.
Same with @Smin1080p_WT, in one way or another, he’s almost always here and in other threads helping you guys.
I felt like it was necessary to mention this due to recent offensive behaviours of a couple of users, either here or in other threads.
So please, remember to respect the staff members and, of course, each other while discussing.
It’s pretty well known that the statcards aren’t 100% accurate, it’s why people use the guided weapons sheet.
edit: read back over it after watching the video and the launch range is a kinetic property independent of the seeker, it has the potential to fly 50km (which the spreadsheet agrees with) even though it currently can’t be launched that far out.
show a weapon in dev and remove it in game?what a shame
This doesn’t make any sense. How is mode 2 unbalanced? The only advantage it has over other FnF missiles currently in the game is that it is uneffected by smoke, how is this a problem when the easiest way to avoid this is to go behind cover? It’s the exact same way we have to deal with all the top tier Russian missiles because they can continue on the same path through smoke, unlike NATO alternatives that self-destruct or go off course because of smoke.
I agree that mode 3 would be unbalanced and so does most of this thread.
Also if the seeing through smoke is too much then you can just make it so it doesn’t do that (we’ll still complain but at least we’ll have FnF so it wont feel like a complete kick in the teeth). Idk why this isn’t even considered when you’re already making an ahistorical missile.
I think a compromise is order, the player base clearly wants all the brimstone modes so give it to them. Or give players the opportunity to test these much like was done with Fox 3 missiles, if the in house testing was done let us all have a go too! At very least player get what they want and gajin can gather some data from the player base.
if not why not just lock the mode to game types?
Air Sim - all three modes
Air realistic - all three modes
Custom Battle - mode 1
Ground RB - mode 1
Brimstone current has a serious problem that Average speed far to low,GR4 can even arrive at the target before it without the afterburner once Brimstone is fired over 6KM or less.
i have seen a report on this,so i want to know what’s the developers on this .
thanks
