Topic about Japan adds t84 and vt4

Honestly, maybe the better play is to add the entirety of ASEAN as a Japanese Sub TT at this point. Chinese can keep their VT4, and Japan gets a crap ton of new flavors. Seems like a win-win to me, and it eliminates the controversy on both sides of the aisle.

(Fully independent ASEAN would still be preferred, granted)

Not all “facts” needs to be stated here. This not twitter or reddit, this is a game’s forum.

Knowing gaijin T84 might get 3BM42 as its best round

Please use english here, Or feel free to post in the community area.

“We have no plans or ideas” is not a promise, it’s just a statement of what their position was at that point in time. A promise would be more akin to “we will never add them”.

Would the US have sold F-16s to the PRC? Would France have sold Mirage 2000-5s to the PRC? Would Taiwan have sold Antelope SAMs to the PRC?

Answer to these are “nope”, yet they’re still available in the Chinese tree.

Wow, that’s news to me that China has captured Taiwanese F-16s and Mirage 2000-5!

“Japanese protectorate”… Wow, could you be any more disdainful?

Subtrees aren’t “protectorate”. Finland and Norway aren’t protectorate of Sweden, Netherlands and Belgium aren’t protectorate of France, Switzerland isn’t a protectorate of Germany and so on.

You may not like the way subtrees are implemented, which is fine and there are valid arguments that can be raised against their current implementation, but you’re the one trying to apply a double standard here.

The research tree receiving vehicle operated by the subtree is how it works for every subtree. There are no F-18s in Germany’s air force and no Leopard 2 of any kind in France’s army, yet they are in game.
Again it’s fine if you don’t like it, but stop trying to pretend that the VT4 being added to the Thai subtree would be somehow any different than what we already have in game and have had for years now.

The situations aren’t perfectly comparable lmao, Taiwan is internationally recognised as a province/prefecture of China and is therefor mostly treated as apart of China. Thailand and Japan are separate nations also internationally recognised as separate entities.

Tech trees in-game are based on nations and their sovereignty, a Scottish tank brigade in Glasgow will be represented in the British TT as a British vehicle and won’t be treated as a separate entity - the same is also applied for Taiwan (ROC) in-game.

This makes is so the M1A2T going to China being a no brainer whilst the introduction of the VT-4 to Japan through Thailand is more of a heated and debated topic (which I couldn’t care less for).

I’m not trying to be political and won’t respond/engage with any political responses, it’s just a game

What does stating the policies enacted by Gaijin have to do with thinking? Gaijin has said no politics. I merely reiterated that point.

You do realize or remember they said they won’t add it this patch… Why does this need reiterating?

VT4 to Thailand. Get that right.

So the right decision is to never give Thailand, the vehicle they mainly operate out of the entire globe?

Here’s what you’re missing. Thai vehicles, will go to where Thai vehicles are put according to Gaijin.

I never said a Thai techtree existed. Did I say that? No.

Shouldn’t matter. But if it did matter… Why should this matter when the vehicle is Thai? Why should Thai players, or Thai fans never get to play their own operated vehicle because of a group in the chinese playerbase opinions?

In the game only you click japan TT you can see thailand tanks, am I right?💀
VT-4 to thailand, true in the reality.
Thailand become japan subtechtree, just in game.
Do all the thai players or thai fans what to play thier tanks with japanese tanks? I doubt that.
If you want thai vt4 so much, it can go to france or sweden or some other countries.
I had never say thailand vt-4 should not in game.💀

Wrong? In game if you click Japan TT… there are no Thai tanks… 💀

Doubt it all you want. You are not the Thai playerbase. You can never truly know what they want.

Do you see how ridiculous this looks? Thai vehicle should go to france or sweden when the Sub tree will be elsewhere. Why? cause a group in the chinese playerbase says so?

Never said you said that. Just asked a question. That’s all.

looks ridiculous perhaps, but in game many other countries have became ridiculous. Like Australian players, they got to play both England and the US to play all their vehicles.

There was a great suggestion earlier about allowing nations with sub-trees to participate in battles as independent sub-factions. I really hope this gets implemented—it would perfectly resolve the VT-4 issue for Thailand. But currently, there’s no easy solution because the tank is implemented under Japan’s tech tree, not Thailand’s. Even though the Thai Army is technically a sub-tree of Japan, it’s clear this is effectively a Japanese implementation, except without using the Rising Sun naval flag.

Because the Abrams is American vehicle and more importantly, NOT a sub tree anywhere. And Australia is part of the commonwealth, which fought together in WW2 and is closely linked to the UK. Getting a bit off topic but… guess who the head of state of Australia is…
