So? Thailand bought VT-4s. They are theirs. They can do whatever they want to do with them.
Im definetly shure they can’t sell them to third country or produce spare parts without permission from China.

But even then, there was no such breach and thailand remains as the sole owner of thai VT-4s.
So whenever you might be going with this, its pointless unless thailand loses the ownership.
It is it’s owner but it can’t just sell it to Japan so being it in Japanese tech tree could be an issue

So by that line of thought, Taiwan is unable to sell its imported vehicles to China and therefore is no longer allowed to be in the Chinese tec tree.
This sort of superposition that you are giving China is leaving a really bad taste in my mouth
Probably they cant reexport it to anyone, not just japan.
It literally does not matter in the scope of warthunder because these thai VT-4s will continue being portrayed as thai VT-4s.
If you want to insisnt that reexport limitations are valid reason as to not add thai VT-4s to Japan, then tha rule must apply universaly and to everyone, so every TT will have to lose most of the subtrees, china included, because im sure no one allowed for the pakistani T-80 and Mi-35 to be reexported to china.
Its clearly not how it works in WT so its moot point.

I said that reexport limitations are clearly not an issue when considering the addition of vehicles so that point is moot and thai VT-4 can be added to japan.
Can be but Chinese payers said they don’t wan’t to see Chinese tank in Japan tech tree and devs agreed with that.

they had zero issues with Japanese tec being in the chinese tec tree. Why now? Only reason i can think of is butthurt

They are fine with it because that’s “conquered” tech, you know. But here Chinese ain’t getting over the fact that tank built for Thai specifications specifically is going to the TT other than China (USA and Germany would like to have a word with such people)

To be fair, this is very different. They are not handouts. Chinese pilots/tankers used those vehicles.

Discussions about this situation have been on English speaking 3rd party forums as well, such as reddit, discord, etc. The overall sentiment I have seen is a distinct hatred for the chinese playerbase for reasons you probably already know.
Gaijin probably wanted to avoid having to pay 4 mods to 24/7 watch a similar thread on the english speaking side of the WT forum

Swedish T-80U is in swedish TT because they trialed it, together with Abrams, Leclerc and Leopard 2 in the 90s.
Indian T-90 is in british TT becasue india is officially a britains subtree.
