they probably didnt know about how players will react if it goes to the brits
Which is a complete double standard. When the Swedish tree was added they removed the Strv 81 from the British tree (people who owned it in the British tree kept it of course) and put it in the new tree. When the Israeli tree was added the Sho’t Kal Dalet was removed from the British tree and moved to the new tree.
When the Finnish were added with the Swedish, the Germans still have the Finnish KV-1. When the Israeli tree was added the US still have the Merkavas. When the Chinese tree was added, the Russians still have Chinese vehicles.
Gaijin moves the Ram II to the British tree, the US still keeps it. The US never used the Skink, and didn’t even want it - yet they now have 2.
also no. israel doesnt have the Merkava Mk1 and Merkava Mk3D
they do just slightly different
american merkava1 has a weaker dart meanwhile the israeli one has a better dart thats probably why the increase to 9.7
the 3d in american tech tree is basic version meanwhile the israelis have a modified 3d as premium
and 2 merkava 3B in techtree with the weaker turret
Israel does not have a Mk1. They have a 1b, which has thermals.
The Mk1 doesn’t have thermals.
And the Mk3D has an entirely different turret.
The official stance on this is that event vehicles should stick around since they’re still on the market, which makes sense.
What doesn’t make sense is Gaijin prioritizing their artificial exclusivity so much that the actual nations can’t get a 1:1 copy of their own vehicle like the Finnish KV-1B or even the US even Merkavas.
The event vehicles have enough value from being in another tree already, keeping them from their actual nations like this is just not right. (Especially considering the USSR KV-1E was somehow still allowed, also the same as the KV-1B)
dont venture into the chinese side of the forum, you might discover the various other issues he has
That’s precisely why engaging with diverse perspectives is valuable. If we only seek out voices that confirm our existing views, we create an echo chamber. I believe real understanding comes from listening to all sides, even when—especially when—there are disagreements. Avoiding an entire community only limits one’s own perspective.
I mean, they could simply do the same thing regardless if it’s a premium/event/BP vehicle. Just let whoever owns it keep it, any coupons still in existence remain with their owner or in the market. Then give it to the parent tree.
You know what is echo chamber? Mandarin forum is the echo chamber. They don’t even allow other opinion on this issues, who have different opinion they will just report till the people got banned
Even though I agree with this point, they are an echo chamber from personal experience. Assault and insults came first before some tried reason and understanding.
They could not pose a reasonable argument as to why their interest trump’s another country’s sovereignty. Especially with Gaijin implementing a fixed branch system. Even if you fix the whole sub-tree problem, it still doesn’t change or address their reasoning for screwing another nation in the pursuit of their interests.
I really wish they started doing it like that.
Or rather started doing it like that again, since they did this once with the LVT(A)(4) (ZIS-2) in the US tree and the Type 62 light tank and Phòng không T-34 in the USSR tree that were all moved to the Chinese tree.
Though for those it’s worth noting this was done because the Chinese tree with these vehicles had already existed before they were added as events (on the Chinese client), meaning these were originally ported over as event vehicles from there. Then when the Chinese tree as a whole was moved over to the international client they were still a part that couldn’t be removed even if Gaijin wanted to.
honestly, mods only flag replays that against the rules, so when the reply get flagged or deleted, it’s improper
Replies aren’t just flagged by mods, but by anyone. If it gets flagged that mostly means that someone found genuine issues with it, but there is certain people (everywhere on the forum, not just the Chinese section) that abuse it to just hide things they don’t like to see
→ Individual user flags don’t hide a message. Still an automatic response can be caused through coordinating multiple flags, but depending on how many are necessary this doesn’t seem realistically achievable

If I’m correct, user’s flag only send a message to mods and won’t cause a hide directly?
though many ambiguous replies only gets flagged if reported. Someone name started with letter “D” has lots of these experiences
I’ve already seen a bit and i got called a snob lmao
It’s really sad to see them resort to insulting/racially insulting people
and not have a fair debate
I went out of my way to look that comment up and reported it, lol. Might even ping the chinese forum mod.
