they had zero issues with Japanese tec being in the chinese tec tree. Why now? Only reason i can think of is butthurt

thankfully theres no chinese tank being added to japan. theres however thai VT-4.

They are fine with it because that’s “conquered” tech, you know. But here Chinese ain’t getting over the fact that tank built for Thai specifications specifically is going to the TT other than China (USA and Germany would like to have a word with such people)

To be fair, this is very different. They are not handouts. Chinese pilots/tankers used those vehicles.

I don’t know had they issue or not but trophies could be found all over the game like Wehrmacht tanks in Soviet tree and vice versa.

Discussions about this situation have been on English speaking 3rd party forums as well, such as reddit, discord, etc. The overall sentiment I have seen is a distinct hatred for the chinese playerbase for reasons you probably already know.
Gaijin probably wanted to avoid having to pay 4 mods to 24/7 watch a similar thread on the english speaking side of the WT forum

Swedish T-80U is in swedish TT because they trialed it, together with Abrams, Leclerc and Leopard 2 in the 90s.
Indian T-90 is in british TT becasue india is officially a britains subtree.
Yeah, and since that moment we have seen no trialed vehicles that were in result never purchased/adopted (not related to Thai VT-4 that was purchased and fielded by Thai)
Which is an export variant of T-90A that has all rights to exist with Indian sub-tree being located by the UK TT, as well as their upgraded MiG-21 Bison (again, that even confirms export tanks indeed can go to TTs other than those of manufacturer)
I have talked with chinese people in the chinese national threads and the overall sentiment I see is that drawing any connection between China and Japan could be seen as China having positive relationships with the oh so bad Japan.

India is still part of the commonwealth, and they are still official subtree to britain and such all india vehicles are fair game.
and as for sweden, indeed they did not end up accepting T-80U into service, but they trialed it so the link is there. They operated that vehicle for a short time for trial purposes. Was it good decision to add it to the swedish TT? No. But its not just random decision.
and, most importantly, these things have nothing to do with thai VT-4 being added to the thai subtree.
Naaaah, the reason why Gaijin rolled out that to Chinese specifically is too calm down their growing money source, for last couple of years, especially after “Dance of Dragons” major update, the influx of money from China seems to be better and better, and as we know Gaijin mostly cares for those who pay (remind you economy changes that were primarily influenced by Western coomunities that were paying for game)
However, that was the time when most of the community united for the common goal, here we have a very specific community with problems of its own

Well as i said there is no hard standart and only important word here is the devs one and they see it as Chinese tank.

That’s wrong question. Should have asked “will it not be added to the game?”. Referrencing to some specific statement without directly quoting the said statement is wild when someone copes hard.
