the point is, stab is usually turned off when the tank is moving outside the battle, so the top speed wont result it stab breakage. And in battle, them tanks usually dont run top speed.
yeah…thats true the only thing hold it back is the reload time (The Fastest in Chinese Tech-tree is VT5 which is 5s but it doesn’t do very well in Toptier match imo)
bro think every Leak list is actually legit leak list lmao
Taiwanese M1A2 should be removed from Chinese T/T asap then.
He can argue that it’s a Chinese tech tree, and taiwan by name is Republic of CHINA. Pakistan or any other subtree is a way better argument.
A bettter argument yes, which is still apparent.
Then remove the whole TH from JP
Yes
Pakistani Oplot-M is probably a better comparison, M1A2T is still operated by the Republic of China in the China techtree (not just People’s Republic of China).
The issue is really just with how badly subtrees are communicated in this game, where a techtree can hold multiple nations but is only named after one (by default at least). The name customization helped a bit, but that also includes nations from one-off premiums and still doesn’t properly communicate what nations actually make a tree, and internally still keeps the single default.
And there is ones with very confusing sorting too, making it even harder to tell what nations are permanent part of a techtree.
I think if it was more clear that it isn’t just the Japanese tree, but also the Thai tree, then this whole issue probably wouldn’t be there.
At least Japan is the only nation that doesn't have one-off non-techtree customization options, so it's only techtree nations. But this doesn't make it any less confusing when all others customization don't just represent the techtree nations and the game still internally calls it just Japan.

idk, I spawn max of 3 times in battle most of the time (Type 10/TKX/AA or again tank if I see my team fighting hard).
About VT4 and Oplot: I prefer countries have their own vehicles
USA-Abrums
GER-Leopards
RU- T tanks
JAP-Types 10s
CH-ZTZ and VT4
etc
Thailand is the main operator of the Oplot, with 49 Oplot-T compared to Ukraine having only 6 Oplot tanks in service.
There were even some unique features developed for Thailand, with an APU right of the engine and an A/C for the Thai climate.
The VT-4 is similar, where it is an export tank that isn’t even operated by China at all. Again Thailand was the first export customer, though not the only one this time.
Still it would be slightly unique, since they only use BTA-4 rather than DTC10-125, so it would be a bit worse than the Norinco demonstrator or any potential Pakistani version.
They also used FY-2 ERA from out of order VT-4 tanks on FV101 light tanks recently. While this isn’t directly about the VT-4, it is at least very interesting and a unique domestic use of its parts.
I’m also hoping we’ll see more Thai vehicles like the Sea Tiger AAPC, M60A3 TIFCS, M163A1 TVADS, upgraded FV101 and more.
fair
China doesn’t even operate the VT-4 and Thailand use almost 10x the amount of Oplots as Ukraine… both versions Thailand operates are unique Thai variants.
This is like saying that Thailand shouldn’t get the Stingray because a US company makes it- despite the fact only Thailand uses the Stingray and the US rejected it.
They weren’t even offered the same Stingray, only the M551 Stingray, Stingray AGS and Stingray II. Even the two Cadillage Gage / Textron prototypes were different from the Thai variant.
USA also got an oplot but modified to basically be a baseline T-80
It is also rumoured that China bought a lot of tech samples concerning armoured vehicles from the Ukraine in the 90s and 2000s. Nothing fully solid just bits and bobs to my knowledge. You could buy anything from the Ukraine back then.
Chinese export ERA is okay I hear. Good middle ground tech.
Not really. It still got welded turret, thermals (afaik), different ERA and possibly hard-kill APS (there were 2 variants of Object 478BEM sold to the US). So these are not baseline T-80s, otherwise any Leopard 2 out there is a baseline Leopard 2A4.
AFAIK these were mostly Soviet designs and tech that were otherwise not sold to China before the collapse of the USSR. There were also contracts for the supply of engines (and transmissions?) for export Chinese tanks, but due to disagreements Chinese developed their own later on.
And, yeah, at the time, during economic difficulties after Soviet collapse, there were a lot of arms sold practically everywhere
Soviet tech was advanced and wanted by many nations post collapse but under done in the areas that counted.
Exchange the ROC and Thai TT will solve the problem, the Taiwan M1 and others western equipment stay in Japan while the PRC TT get the Thai VT-4. Problem solved.
Honestly I don’t think that’s a good idea.
Thailand also heavily relies on western equipment, with Chinese equipment being only a small part of what they have. Their relation to China is also mainly transactional, which shows best with China more extensively supporting Cambodia in the current conflict, simply because they have more significant financial ties.
This is not more relation than Thailand has with Japan, since they had a former military alliance and Thailand used a lot of Japanese equipment, including the only armed combat aircraft exported after WWII, the FB-25 Defender.
Sure, there is a connection between China and Thailand, but I don’t think it’s strong enough to justify moving an established subtree, something that would set a very bad precedent for the rest of the game.
Meanwhile ROC is the Republic of China, and the internationally recognized Chinese government until 1971, which is a significant part of the games timeframe. They also contribute about half of the entire techtrees content, mainly centered at the earlier tiers where there just isn’t enough Thai options to replace them, and especially Gaijin has only made a single Thai vehicle for, the SB2C-5.
I’d also say there’s no problem with a Chinese nation in the Chinese tree, so it seems a bit arbitrary to move it. This seems like an East / West Germany or North / South Korea situation, and should be treated the same way.
That said, this also means we need the ROC as a techtree customization option, just like we see with Germany in game.
