i mean its all propaganda, remember how they said that le2a6 and abrams would change the game ?
Morons on the internet said that, no actual public officials said that. Tanks are tank, a better tank in small numbers can only provide small scale localized benefits.
Leopard 2s have had the most effect as they come in good numbers, and it’s considered the best tank in the field currently,
And why would they buy the T-14, which would only serve to be disabled by drones? The vehicle has a number of advantages, but not a purpose for the current scenario. When it appeared in 2014, the objective was to modernize the fleet. Today, combat has changed, and you would never, under any circumstances, dispatch grouped vehicles to any location. Before they even got into combat, they would be targeted by thousands of cheap drones. So yes, the T-14 has no purpose now for the Russian army, but it does in War Thunder.
unless you were american is was not good for decades. can argue we still havent fully recovered from the first war let alone second.
russia is rebuilding from what is essentially scrap tho, thousands of tanks left outside for 30 years means that a lot are only good for cannibalisation.
for the love of god dont unless its what not to do. have a look at ajax, not good at all
there is no best tank in the field, its all big target to drones, things are changing a lot.
For as long as tanks have existed, there has been anti tank measures and weapons, tanks and doctrines will adapt and the tank will never be obsolete.
electronic warfare will make the drone issue less severe, im sure drones will be integrated into future tanks too
There very much is, though, drones are not as effective as both sides want you to believe. The best tank is the one which can get in and out the fastest whilst doing its job, and in the event it gets hit protect the crew. Leopard 2 is inarguably the best tank for the kind of warfare that is going there and that’s the consense there too.
all metal is scrap. 30 years ? for sure your talking about t-72, they have show strong endurance for a lot of countrys, that thing wont die.
T-72s are being kept around by necessity. Not because they are wanted
idk about that one. Its realistically impossible to compare modern tanks to say who is best as they havent and probably wont ever actually see each other in battle. nor have they been through the paces of full scale war
T-14 is the only replacement.
its pushing 45 years and that thing is still in service with a lot of countrys, good cheap way to have fire power on a budget compare what we have today.
Ask the them, the answer will be leopard 2 90% of times the rest is usually t64 and t80.
Abrams and cry have been provided in way too small of a quantity to gage any effect
cmon when was the last time we had a tank on tank battle, its all suppression of infatry and destroying building to clear the path.
its all about fire power and anti infantry / drone in a today tanks.
Leopard 2s have had some pretty insane tank on tank footage last few years, but yeah generally that’s very very rare.
Mobility and situational awareness remain king in the modern battlefield though. Regardless of the task at hand
dont forget the 57mm t15. also the t14 can come in like 2 variants. and the next t90m’s can be split as T90M (Arena-M) and T90M2
was it the suppresion of bmp convoy ? that the only one i know
no, its only t90m2.
The media outlets often considered “TRUE” in the West, such as BBC, CNN, etc., claimed otherwise, even though many said it wasn’t true. And because any tank is vulnerable to drones, the Lancets had a field day in 2023, but anyway, I’ll take my leave now.
no, all pictures currently available of the arena m system on t90m’s are retrofits, the t90m2 will be different featuring the aps, new transmission, among other things
there are no confirmed pictures of the t90m2
